Correct - forums are a place for people who talk rather than do, because those that do don’t have the time to argue online. Though I shit on all evil, regardless of some arbitrary relation to America. I don’t rely on American news outlets, I watch the global scene. It’s why I understand that America is just as bad as any of the other cartoonishly evil places in the world that people will fall for propaganda to defend.

I think we all know that anyone sitting on the computer talking about activism is here because they’re not out performing activism. This is the place of cowards who talk bigger than they are.

I live in the US, so I know first hand how having faith in anyone in a position of power will come back to bite you.

I managed to find love through online dating, but it’s true that you need to put a lot of time and effort into making an interesting and informative profile, sorting through all the low-effort users to find the people who are actually invested, and crafting engaging and personalized opening messages for the people among them who you happen to find attractive. There’s a big incentive to just spam everyone with “hey,” but all that does is put more money in the company’s pockets from months of no hits.

My mom died last year because she thought she could treat her cancer by “resonating with the world’s vibration.” Fuck this woman, and fuck the people who decided to put her in charge of healthcare.

I grew up with mac, but I was always so frustrated that I couldn’t play the games and run the programs my friends could on their computers. I finally bought my own PC in high school, and was so happy to have the control I always wanted. I haven’t switched to Linux yet, but at this point it’s inevitable; I’m just dragging my feet on figuring it out.

They don’t just want to choose not to think, because then they might have pangs of regret from making that choice. They want others to tell them that women aren’t allowed to think, so that it’s no longer their decision, and so it can’t be their fault if it’s a bad one.

First we got Link’s Awakening, a Zelda game with some Mario stuff thrown in, and then we were supposed to get this, a Mario game with Zelda aspects. I wonder if they were trying to combine the two somehow.

Exactly. We can’t treat this like a schoolyard bully who just wants to make himself feel big, no matter how much the big man acts like it - the government has real power over us, and is already putting legal citizens in foreign prisons to die. This isn’t pulling our beards and flicking our faces, this is putting a gun to all of our heads, and pulling the trigger for some.

I think some of those purple ones should instead be labeled “If you can find a way to get it to stick around long enough for you to lick, you’ll win a posthumous Nobel prize.”

Glad I could jog your memory! Yeah, I even went so far as to email the current owner of the rights to it about a sequel a few years ago, and basically got the generic “Maybe one day” response.

Try Steambot Chronicles! It’s my favorite game of all time by a wide margin, but it’s been forgotten by time. It’s a really cool adventure game with a ton of different things to do, from piloting a giant robot to playing different musical instruments in a band, to decorating your own little apartment, and a bunch of other stuff! There’s a lot of dialogue choices to make too that can affect how people treat you, and lead to a few different endings, including being a hero vs a villain. The graphics and soundtrack are great, too! I can’t recommend it enough!

Yeah, I get these every few months or so, and at this point when I feel one coming on I’ll automatically start pointing my toes up before I even fully wake up and realize what’s happening. That nips it in the bud before the pain starts, and I can go right back to bed.

There’s a window in front of my kitchen sink at my current house. I’ve been there for over a year and never once opened those blinds.
