In my work, plenty. And I can fairly confidently say that telling someone’s age by their looks isn’t always easy.
Which is to say that it isn’t an entirely unrealistic scenario, and could be forgiven if one actually tried to remedy the situation upon learning of their mistake, rather than going for a second turn (yuck)
Its forgivable that a 20 year old might accidentally end up in this situation, not having realised that she was only 14 until she said so…
But you know what a normal person does when they realise they just accidentally had sex with someone underage?
They take them back home to their family and apologise profusely. They don’t have sex with them a second time round! That truly is some child predator behaviour right there.
All I can do is pray that my current RAM survives long enough for this stupid AI bubble to burst, like with the Crypto-Bro GPUs.

Considering everyone I know with a folding phone has had a fault with the folding part of it - I don’t think its the best idea from a durability standpoint to add yet another folding part.
If one screen or fold point breaks, you’re now left with two unusable (but perfectly functioning) screens. Seems like an expensive gimmick to me.
Fair and Balanced trade deal my backside. A cursory look through this seems like a really one-sided agreement favouring the US - with the EU making considerable trade-offs to the US, without much promise of stuff in return.
I mean you only need to read point number 1 and 2 to get a considerable idea of this. The EU commits to eliminating all tarifs on US industrial goods, while the US commits to no more or less than 15% tariff on certain goods only. That’s an insanely one-sided commitment

But I think you’re taking what you’ve got for granted. It sounds like your family is fairly liberal and well-meaning, but that doesn’t mean her’s is.
Even in the west, religious conservatism can get nasty real quick (especially for woman), so I can absolutely see why she might be scared to tell her family.
She probably doesn’t like hiding you in the shadows any more than you do - you should be careful putting your feelings over her well-being.
Putting a photo through an AI photo filter is not artistic. Literally a toddler drawing with a crayon is infinitely more artistic.
An agreement with Russia isn’t worth the paper its written in. The Kremlin lies as easily as it breathes.
LLMs are made to mimic how we speak, and some can even pass the Turing test, so I’m not surprised that people who don’t know better think of these LLMs as conscious in some way or another.
It’s not a necessarily a fault on those people, it’s a fault on how LLMs are purposefully misadvertised to the masses

The fact that they’re still doing this means people are falling for it, and I feel sorry for those people, cause this scam is clearly designed to prey on those who feel lonely and are too naive to know better

A game that depicts gambling but has no actual gambling in it - absolutely fucking NOT, PEGI 18+
I can understand why PEGI would be hesitant to give a game depicting gambling a rating of 3+…
But putting it as 18+, on the same level as actual, real money gambling games is ridiculous.
It shows a complete lack of awareness regarding the difference in danger between depiction of gambling vs actual gambling. And perhaps more dangerously means malicious publishers (cough EA cough) are able to get away with slipping disguised real money gambling into their games (and in front of children eyes) unnoticed.

I wouldn’t say it’s just more important, I’d say it’s a moral imperative to support Ukraine’s fight for it’s sovereign land over keeping buddy-buddy with a government running rampant with corruption and Russian puppetry
Working in a field were I have to perform a lot of these types of tests, you’d be surprised how many look like Covid tests at a glance - always look at the labelling.
Also, in this form factor you’d pee into a container and pipette a very small amount into the test using the (usually) accompanying tiny pipette.
I’d do another test to be sure, but even a faint line can indicate a positive result (similar to Covid tests of the same form factor)

As said in the article, the technology to reasonably decarbonise planes doesn’t really exist yet - so the only path to “sustainable aviation” is to reduce it to the point it can be properly offset by other decarbonisation efforts.
That makes these two concepts almost entirely mutually exclusive without proper planning, and just slapping multiple airport expansions down then saying “It’s fine, we’ll plant a few trees at some point” doesn’t fucking cut it.
On one hand, its nice that they actually responded, because even that can’t be taken for granted nowadays.
On the other hand, they spent more text on telling you they’re holding onto your data (and trying to milk you for more) than they did telling you the thing the email was about!!
I’d say I’m tech conservative/cynic with a bit of normie - as I’ve long accepted that forgoing big tech completely means losing the ability to talk to most of my friends and relatives (because there’s zilch chance of me convincing them to move away)
