I think they are being downvoted because it sounds like they are complaining about about repercussions from their actions. If, hypothetically, someone said something offensive/racist and got called out for it then their complaints would look a lot like this.

The watched status is reason enough for me to use it. Having to remember what episode you watched last for 4+ shows at a time is annoying.
