  • I’m honestly not sure that there is a plan. It’s just racism with a side of exceptionalism. The idea is that the great and powerful US military can bomb anyone they want with impunity, so long as they aren’t a nuclear power. And with the meerest hint of possibility that Iran might become a nuclear power soon, it’s a good time to go bombing again. They’ve been talking for years about how much they wanted to.

  • It’s because they removed the bit in their core promises about not selling your user data. They apparently sell generalised user trends, but not data for individual users. Legal was concerned that this would count as selling user data, which prompted the removal.

I understand and acknowledge the complaint, but personally I’m sticking with Firefox. I don’t like the removal of that phrase much, but everyone is already tracking me. Without Mozilla, there would only be Chrome. But I will be watching this situation closely to see if things worsen.

  • You also have to remember that this is a couple seasons in. Their capitalist masters are going to insist that the leftism be taken down a notch or two. I thought that Snowpiercer remained pretty good throughout the show though. The last season is a pretty nice jab at NATO.

For contrast, look at the tragedy that was For All Mankind. It starts out with Americans whinging about losing the race to the moon, and follows up with getting their asses kicked in human rights. A couple seasons later, they’re saying that poor people don’t exist in Vietnam because the government killed them all, and showing the evil communist hardliners fighting peaceful beloved Gorbachev. I stopped watching at that point.

  • To deny the events that unfolded at Tiananmen Square is like denying that humans have been to the moon. It’s an unfounded, in fact, disprovable conspiracy theory.

So prove it to us then. All you’re doing right now is scolding us for being insane conspiracy theorists. I’ve never seen any evidence that anything happened at tiananmen square. Reports from people who were actually there all say that there was no massacre

The US has a very long history of lying about its enemies. There are plenty of declassified CIA docs that talk about what lies to tell the media. Why is this one different?

Edit: also, see pen names. Isn’t it a little hypocritical to call us conspiracy theorists when you come to the conclusion that the book was lies written by China or North Korea because you can’t find any information about the author?
