Because I’m NOT comparing it. You need some serious reading comprehension practice. You’re all riled up for the entirely wrong fucking point that I have repeatedly said I am not arguing.
Good gravy.

No. I’m really not trying to equate that at all. Using “I’m indigenous” as an excuse to imply that you’re beyond criticism is bullshit. Everyone can be criticized. Everyone has skeletons.
You’re trying to pull words out of nothing. All I was responding to was the whole “ Im indigenous so 🤷♂️” comment.

Are you suggesting that indigenous peoples have never done any of what I said above?
I’m not trying to guilt you into sympathizing with colonization. I’m trying to get you to understand that, “I’m indigenous, so only bad things ever happened to people like me because of colonization” is a naive idea to have.

Are you saying that indigenous people never warred with others/neighbors and wiped out other tribes? Never raped, never put their enemies into slavery or sold them to other indigenous, or never tortured those they were at war with?
Because, to me, it sounds like you’re making that case with your comment and that is a bullshit case to be made. Humans are historically awful.

Mmm, maybe. Affects also works as it means to influence. It’s subtle and context matters, but if AI is still changing things with their job then affects is the verb you want. If AI has changed their job and nothing further is happening then effect is the noun you want.

The way the speech bubble is cut off, it seems like it’s supposed to be that the comment above becomes the speech bubble. It’s some nerdy-looking guy playing chess and saying that comment so it’s supposed to look like a profound strategic reply.
I guess that’s what it means? I have no fucking clue, but that’s what I came up with for a theory.

Probably something from The Flintstones.

But what about the basement in the Alamo?!

Greta Thunberg is already here though.

Really? You see 3 different state names listed and the domain is cdc.gov. Your post history says you’re a Swiss resident and shows you commenting on a fair amount of American stuff, so you should know the CDC is American and more than likely is talking about American stuff.
If I saw you post from https://www.bag.admin.ch/, I would see a foreign domain and then look it up to understand what it is while using this wonderful thing called critical thinking to extrapolate that it’s probably going to be Swiss information.
I sure as fuck wouldn’t comment, “This isn’t TIL Switzerland, maybe you should have clarified!”
@kn33@lemmy.world is right in their reply.

I’m talking about all of the races. NYC is definitely the biggest one.
I realize they have more power over federal races, but they also have a ton of money poured into local races as well because owning that helps to ease or nullify pushback of federal challenges happening within states.
I admittedly don’t know if voting machines were used in these types of races or how votes are tallied. So this factors heavily into why I am posting my thoughts here.
Like I said, it’s hope and we won’t know dick until it actually happens. We still have another vote for funding on healthcare, Epstein files, MTG pissed at Trump and being loud, dissension and possibly fighting between factions within Heritage Foundation and Groypers. There is a lot that could turn even somewhat Republican minds toward fighting against Trump which could open the door for a Dem wave.
Like I said, it’s hope. My expectation is that Rs will keep their control and cement that we are done.

With how the GOP has speed ran everything else so far and the fact that people were elected that are “controversial” to American society then, yeah, I do have hope that we will.
I’d think they’d have shown their hand this election even somewhat just to show how “strong” the party looks and how the people reject the democrats.
That didn’t happen though, so hope remains.

Okay, now ladies

I see where you’re coming from.
I personally read it differently. I read it as not everyone lives in a city, or wants to, and so people shouldn’t pressure others to do that (for mass transit) just so we can get rid of cars.

Do you not have apartment complexes where you live? You can easily hit that number in your building ALONE depending on how many units there are. Then you have buildings around you because apartments aren’t just a one off.
Let’s say you live on a city block with 8 houses on each side and there’s an average of 2 people living in each house, that’s still 32 people.

I literally thought it was social media too. I’ve never heard the political side and I’m an American in my 40s.

Holy fucking shit, I totally forgot about this!
I award you, stranger! 🏅

In the original Warcraft games (not World Of Warcraft), repeatedly clicking units would initiate irritation voice lines.
Humans would say something like, “why do you keep touching me?”
An elf said something like, “you never touch other elves like that!”
I’m admittedly ignorant of all of this, but I’ll post my thoughts anyway:
If the AI is trained on their voice and that AI is available to other studios (like leasing or buying it from the original company), the one time payment for that actor’s work is a very very shit deal. They’re out of a job in multiple places or for multiple works now since it can be reused for many things.
I doubt that the contract says it’s only used for that one singular project. Companies are sneaky. However, I have not read said contracts so it’s a magical guess on my part.
