Unfortunately, reddit has been too long and entrenched in society to “remove” it from our browsers. It is very different from Twitter or another social network. Lemmy is a great project. I hope it works and establishes itself as a real alternative, but it still has a long way to go. Unfortunately, the Reddit/Lemmy format is resource intensive, and that’s the problem with a service like this.
It’s my simple opinion. I support any fediverso project, but reddit, today I think it is irreplaceable.
I use KeepassXC for years, but lately I’m having problems connecting it. I use it only offline and the Firefox plugin doesn’t work very well. It has many options, too many in my opinion. I don’t like having my passwords in a company’s cloud. The selfhosting is the solution, but i dont have to know
I will also leave whatsapp. It’s true that I hardly use it. In my case I use Telegram. Why to Signal? Telegram is much more widespread than Signal. I understand that Telegram is not 100% secure, but neither is Signal when you need a phone number. That is the first rule.
I have this problem too… I use LineageOS with GPlay Store disabled and my bank’s app worked perfectly for a couple of years. Since a couple of months ago, I need to have GPlay Store enabled to be able to use it.
I’ve tried putting my Google account into Aurora Store and so far it works.
