I appreciate what other leftists are doing for the cause. As an anarchist, though, I have to interject.

The idea that a revolution needs to be carried out by a central authority is dangerous, as I’m sure plenty of you know. It doesn’t matter how red your new flag is. We leftists shouldn’t think of our state becoming a “better” state, but rather the abolition of the state altogether. Power concentrated in any form, no matter how well intentioned, inevitably reproduces hierarchy and domination. Our goal shouldn’t be to seize the machine, but to dismantle it and build something radically different: decentralized, cooperative, and rooted in mutual aid. Something we all can get behind.

I’d love to hear a marxist pov on this. <3

Acknowledging that the majority of politicians don’t care about everyday people in the US as “bothsideism” is so fucking stupid. Don’t get it fucked up, it’s the poor vs the rich. And if it isn’t obvious, they want more money. More power.

If you actively stand there and say “yea shut up, bothsideist” (whatever the fuck that means) then you are contributing exactly nothing to the conversation.

This system is supposed to be for the people, right? For all the people? Not for the select few that gamed the system? So if it’s between a totalitarian state that silences dissent in order to keep workers rights or one that lets our politicians be corrupted and look the other way when rich people test the waters and try and take more and more with time, I’d prefer the first option.
