I was getting mainframe. A steam deck style server box you plug in next to your router and can stream to your deck, your phone, your whatever. A home pc console mainframe.

Developers like consoles because it limits the platforms you need to optimize for. The steam deck gave pc gaming a benchmark. If they made a standardized home console you can still run your own software on, i would bet on a big growth in proton support

When splitgate 1 launched its problem was a lack of polish. They polished it up and made an incredible live service game with terrible cosmetics. Then they gave up on all of that to make call of duty but sometimes there are walls to portal through. Now they are giving up on that and taking it all down. They need to hire an art director to rework it from the ground up and have splitgate 2 be splitgate 1 v2.0

I’ll also add, safari supported animated gifs for a long time before that and you could still save them in safari like any other image. But photos would only show the first frame like you said. When 11 came out they played like normal.

Gamers who get mad having to wait for company logos to show while games boot: They have to disclose every piece of software they use to make every game! I want my games 100% hand crafted and bespoke. I want to sense the life people spent meticulously crafting mudsplat_texture_1 - mudsplat_texture_500. Also no crunch (and no bugs, obviously)

In college I had an aluminum body laptop that mostly sat in its dock. I cut a sheet of thermal gap fill to the size of two heatsinks and put one over the cpu and one over the gpu. It shaved off a few degrees

The better question is how do you charge an ev with a credit card. The ones around here are ridiculous. Instead of a credit card swipe there are a million different apps you have to download. Oh, you parked your car in a parking garage with no reception? Too bad. Make an account, wait for the confirmation email, and then add your credit card into it.

There are conglomerate apps that bundle some of those brands together, but not all of them. Some of them might take paypal or something like it.

We only had Spanish for 8th grade and up. When I was in 7th they had high school French but cut it for budget before I got there.

Very occasionally, on certain maps people or bots invade. It’s dark souls 1 style. It doesn’t impact that much until you are trying to beat it, then you get invaded once or twice.

I don’t think they let you turn it off on launch, or maybe I couldn’t find the setting. I had the laggiest julliannas ghosting around my map every run.
