About to quit my job of five years for a new one. After how much of a mess the previous months were everything seems to happen to me all at once now. So I’ll roll with it and see where I end up.

Getting over a breakup by trying to keep myself busy and not facing my thoughts much. It’s not healthy I know. I will eventually.

I love lying or sitting and listening to the rain. Ok I also love deliberately walking in the rain if it’s warm enough out. Ok yeah I just like rain apparently. the sound is just so soothing.

I’m beyond sad it’s over. It was amazing. I also got to shake a hyenas paw. It was incredible

They really enjoyed it judging by the purring. They were so incredibly fluffy and gentle. They even licked my hand. Did not expect them to be so chill. I wanted to hug it but was advised not to.

I get to pet cheetahs today. And possibly baby lions. It’s gonna be a fun day I think.

My partners friend, as it turns out, has a pool. With a slide. And not just a small slide. So that’ll be my day. Feel like a child again.

If the community is hosted on the defederated instance then I believe you wouldn’t see that post either. I believe the community instance reposts the post so that it can federate to all subscribed instances. And those might only be known to the instance that hosts the community. So everyone goes through it as a proxy.

Fair enough. I also don’t usually like it. I hate things like graphic audio for example. But for some reason KBS just worked for me.

Love it too. Definitely one of the best litrpgs I’ve read. I was really excited for the audio immersion but sadly I thought the first episode wasn’t quite as good. I listened to Kaiju battlefield surgeon and I imagined it to be like that. And it was, but a lot of small mistakes ended up making it feel a little rushed. KBS was actually really good too. Very enjoyed that one as well. Though I haven’t read the book for that yet, only listened to the cinematic audio.

Is that GitHub issue where the bridge just starts deleting emails still open? I am pretty sure it was open for over a year.

Protonmails approach to requiring hCaptcha for everything, even their mobile apps, really turns me off. I can’t complete them. And I need another email to get in using their weird and creepy accessibility cookie thing. Nah thanks. If I need a second email to access my email I might as well just use that second email.

This is true. However keep in mind that instances survive on reputation. As soon as something like this came out, which is inevitable with time, nobody will trust that instance, or the person running that instance, again. And people are usually quite quick to find this out as already demonstrated by other online services. Hiding is very difficult. Even worse, once your reputation falls, people can move to a more respectful server and continue participating in the network, so in the end it’s a losing game for the instance owner. Password safety obviously applies, but if you take a look at big social media privacy and terms, a little password manager in my personal opinion is preferable.

While I agree that forcing an engine is really terrible, as a browser dev you do get the ability to do things with the web view. So in theory your browser could support addons. I think. Also isn’t the EU kinda talking about this? Or am I misremembering
