The MX Linux live USB maker should work well on Debian based distros.
Desktop: Arch KDE Laptop: MX Linux KDE
I have Arch (KDE) installed on my desktop at home. I have been using it for 6 years and I love it, especially the AUR! This month I have been mostly using my laptop and I am using MX Linux 23 KDE which is great! I really find it’s tools very useful when I need them (which is not often, but I am glad they are there).
He was alright, I think he will click better with Tundra.
I too use Arch on my desktop (on a daily basis). I think you will find MX Linux to be a great fit for your secondary device. It works like a charm on my laptop.
Peep show for life!
I have been using Arch+KDE plasma for ~5years on my main rig, I love it!

I am waiting for MX 23 KDE edition.
Arch on my desktop;
MX on my laptop;
antiX on my netbook;
SteamOS on the Steam Deck;
PostmarketOS on my PBP;
Raspbian on my pi4.
I think it’s (one of) the best laptop brands in regards to coreboot support. The build quality of my starbook is great. The biggest + for me is how helpful, polite and friendly the support staff is.
