Blue Sky lets you kind of subscribe to a block list. Someone can make a list of accounts and post it publicly and you can block that entire list. There are lists for all sorts of topics, like spammers or neo- Nazis or trolls or AI generated profiles.

This is badass. I love hearing about this. And what a smart model, let people with the devices contribute to the bounty and things that have a lot of demand and will help a lot of people have bigger bounties.

What is the point in a humanoid form factor robot that you can’t have sex with?

Fuck Sam Altman and his stupid face.

Sounds like the authors guild needs to read a book about how the Internet works

Yes. One of the few subscriptions I have no qualms about.

“This week, our employer has been prominent in the headlines as Alphabet stock reached a record high. We, the workers who generate those profits, deserve to feel secure in our employment. While we celebrate the fact that our organizing is working, with our demand to offer voluntary buyouts before mandatory layoffs becoming a new company standard, we know that the fight is far from over. “
Apparently, Google has agreed to offer a VEP rather than issue more layoffs?

If the US becomes a democracy again, we might really have to worry about that! /s

Hello and/or duh.

This seems like surveillance disguised as a mostly useless feature. If you are in the office and logging into a video call, you’re probably using the hardware in a conference room and not your own laptop. That hardware will already display the room you are calling from to everyone on the call.
The only reason for this feature is to tattle on people who aren’t where they say they are.

Not for the average spineless middle manager. This puts the data in their hands without having to get any approval from anyone in IT

Fuck this fucking pedo fucker.

“Plagued” … “though the scope of the problem remains unclear.”
A few people on Reddit complained. Reddit at this point exists largely to amplify and echo complaints. I don’t think this is news yet.

Can we just not, ok science? We can’t even get people to take the vaccines we create.

Sam Altman is working on that, just needs another $20B

I agree and I thought more people would be frustrated enough to leave Reddit. But there are enough of us here now that there is an alternative to Reddit that is viable. Hopefully that becomes common knowledge and they realize leaving Reddit doesn’t mean not having a community, so they feel encouraged to switch.
Grok robots actually fucking you is probably the least scary thing they would try to do.
