Maybe I’m looking at a different guide than you, but I’m not seeing any way for qbittorrent to auto update the forwarded port from Proton. Everytime your VPN connection resets (either from reboot or just a dropped connection), you have to manually update the port in qbittorrent. Of course there are some scripts that can do this for you.

ProtonVPN forwarded port is random on a new connection, it’s not that you’re using windows that this is the case.

What happened to Kodak?

Heidegger was a literal Nazi but we still still use his work because Being and Time is so important.
Distros probably have a kernel though
Is suckless a distro? I thought it was just a collection of software
Careful who you’re calling ding dong. It might just be yourself.

1 second per kb lol

I know someone whose life is made substantially worse because they have a lack of access to healthcare. They live in Europe and can’t get access to the specialized medicine that they need in the timeframe that they need it in. I’m not saying that socialized medicine is bad—I’m actually all for it—but it needs to be implemented well for it to actually work. This is just my anecdotal evidence to say that just because everyone has access doesn’t automatically mean it’s adequate access.
“my boyfriend hasn’t updated his computer in years and still runs windows 7. I’m going to give him Arch hahaha so easy for beginners”

I have some crazy news for you. Not everyone is 21. Believe it or not, but there are people who are older than that (I’m one of them! Boo!)

One random thing that really annoys me is that the site http://shakespeare.mit.edu does not properly forward http requests to https although they have an https version of the site.
sudo apt install firefox is all I need to say to justify why I’ll never touch Ubuntu again.
Personally I’m not opposed to standardization, but having alternatives would be nice in case something ever happened to the standard
You can disable the update check in the config file. Then just update with your package manager as usual and forget about it.
