Kudos for the honesty.
They’re not really considered underground since they have 1 million monthly listeners, but I still don’t see a lot of people talking about the band Foreign Air. They are known for their hit “Free Animal”, but they have so many good songs. I recommend “Your Touch”, “Hello Sunshine Pt 2”, “Wake Me Up”, “Moving On,” and “Monsters”. Unsure of how to describe their genre, it certainly isn’t rock nor bubbly pop…
You wouldn’t be wrong about me!
I have listened to that! While they’re funny, I can’t take them very seriously, especially when writing. :')
It sounds ridiculous but I promise I’m being serious. I’m looking for instrumental songs that are from the middle ages / the renaissance, with fun and fast-paced beats that just makes you wanna dance to it. Think of the POTC soundtrack but medieval. An example is the song “Im Maien” by Piffaro. I’m writing a story at the moment that takes place during this time and I could really use some upbeat, party bangers as inspiration lmao.
Sometimes you gotta let steam off by yelling at a show. Better than yelling at people.
Sounds a bit harsh but these are the questions to ask yourself. Too many times people are passive and don’t realise they have some power in certain situations.
Anyway, bottom line is that the more you play the more you find out the story of the Sky universe. A playable story, if you will.
For me it’s about exploring new realms, and discovering new spirits and doing missions given by said spirits. Collecting items such as clothes and accessories is fun as well. I guess it’s not as intense as other games, but I like that you can do stuff your own pace - there’s no pressure or stress, just lots of beautiful visuals and wonderful soundtrack. Befriending fellow players and doing missions together is a plus as well.
There are purchases within the app - such as buying more candles (the game currency), or a “Season Pass” that gives you exclusive stuff whenever a new season in the game begins. You absolutely don’t need to pay for anything to enjoy the game, there are no limitations as far as in-game interactions go.
Agreed. I’ve always had the impression you made your own algorithm on Lemmy by subscribing to communities, so there is really no need for “an approved algorithm” that requires gathering data from the users here.
If you go to your iPhone settings > General > Storage you have the option to either delete an app or offload it (which clears up space on your phone from the app’s cache). Avelon didn’t have this option and it took up a lot of space for me. Hence why I switched.
I know, people have suggested CBT to me. I haven’t gotten around to take the initiative to actually get help, but hopefully I will soon.
I’ve never heard of this band before and I checked them out. Very exciting sound, I’m sure my father who’s crazy about synth would also like them. I’m happy I saw this post!
I have a “phobia” (or at least a very strong fear) of insects. This includes regular flies, worms, mosquitos, bees, butterflies to some extent. Whenever I hear that buzz of a fly, my fight-or-flight response activates and I instantly become more aware of my surroundings. Whenever I hear a fly inside my apartment I tell my parents to please kill it or let it out, sometimes I hide in my room. Coincidentally enough, a few days ago I found a decently small worm in my bedroom and it kept wiggling, and my anxiety was intense. I kept yelling for my mom to go get it, my heartbeat was so intense.
People like to laugh whenever I flinch or act nervous around a small fly, and I get why that’s funny, but I really hate it. It distracts me and makes me feel on edge. People keep telling me, “it’s just a small insect, it can’t hurt you”; I know it can’t, but the buzzing and the way it flies makes me really uncomfortable. It’s why I don’t like summer. It’s weird, because I didn’t always feel this way; I only started having this phobia at around 10 years old maybe. Anyway, I don’t know why I have it. But it’s really debilitating.
So as far as audio quality goes, you don’t think it’d be worth switching from Spotify to Tidal? I like Tidal for other reasons (I like the UI better, they supposedly pay artists more), but I’m not sure if these reasons are enough to completely abandon Spotify?
Your comment actually inspired me to try the free trial for Tidal and I really like it. In the future I might switch over to it from Spotify, at least they seem to pay artists better.
What music platforms would you suggest as an alternative? Apple Music can’t be that much better, can it?
I also did use a VPN on both mobile and computer. Does that change anything?
