I didn’t realize that Coors, the beer, funded the start of the Heritage Foundation.
The beer is shit, but now I know that the entire company is also shit.

Indeed. The aroma is starting to fill the entire house.

Oh absolutely. I wasn’t even raised on them because my American parents turned down their noses at them. As an adult, however, a coworker introduced me to the brown sugar cinnamon ones…and they happen to be sold at my place of employment, so when I roll out of bed too late to make breakfast….
They are objectively awful, and I experience a mild self-repulsion every time I eat a pack. But the sugar is addicting.

quickly hides the wrappers for the pop tarts and candy bar I had for breakfast
Honestly, a nutrient-rich breakfast sounds amazing right now. Obviously, the sugar didn’t satisfy.

Can people give this speech to the rest of the world’s governments as well? Other politicians also need to be told they should be tried for genocide, too.

Society will just reorganize to provide. There are a ton of bullshit jobs out there that don’t need to be filled. The higher pay (specifically designed to be high to attract workers) will attract people to work the homes.

Nah, tax the billionaires to bring money back to the working class and to fund the nursing homes. There are enough resources to support an elderly population, it’s all just being hoarded by assholes.

Because that worked so well before.

Oh definitely. I think they’re being offered a horrible deal. But I can see how some might be inclined to take the shitty deal if their current financial situation is in fact one of desperation. I hope their citizens are in better shape than Americans.

Desperate is the right word, and I think they’re intending to make people more desperate in order to exert control.
I’m not saying a $10k gift would be life-changing, but it would pay off a significant amount of my debt, freeing up a lot of my monthly cash flow.

Is it “coke” or “cock”?
I’m not religious, but God bless you.
I still barely understand, but I understand more than I did five minutes ago, and that is worth something.
Why is this math problem worth monetary value to anyone if it’s just a randomly generated number? I don’t care if something generated a number somewhere. Like, good for them I guess? Why is that valuable?

Fucking hell. Yes.
Americans have been told this glamorous story about their history in schools that has made us think that this behavior we are seeing today “isn’t who we are.”
It definitely is who we are and it makes me sick.

I know a lot of the Nazis took inspiration from eugenics movements in the US, so I am sad to see that the same migration of ideas is still happening today.
Morbid curiosity has me wondering what will happen if the entire world turns fascist, rather than just a couple of countries who get targeted by antifascist militaries from the rest of the world.

What is up, Germany? The far right??
I can’t point fingers as an American, but like…Germany was so proud of having pushed out far-right extremism.

I wonder how fast and much daily fashion will change. Like, no more knitted or crocheted items, or their resale value will go way up.

Excellent point. Thank you.

Some kids are told about it in school, and then that chapter ends and the lesson moves on and the kids forget about it. Beyond that, Americans have to actively seek out that information.
With Trump making moves to erase all evidence of the history I mentioned above, it’s about to get a lot worse.

My sincere hope is that they’re rescued before this goes too far. Is that Polly Anna? Probably. But I’m hanging onto that.
Yeah, I operate on this assumption entirely. I’m pretty sure there was a book published about this idea in the 80s and it was widely read among political leadership.
