Power is a measurement of the velocity and volume of water flowing through a pipe at a given instant*
I’m so sorry, I am officially ‘that guy’, taking a simple analogy and making it annoying…
I’m laughing to keep from crying.
My 16 year old Samsung TV would like to argue otherwise! It’s a beast and 1080p is plenty good for me! But my Samsung kitchen? Holy crap it’s all so terrible…
This comment hits hard. There are a lot of ignorant people in my life that spout idiotic stuff and I brush it off, I disengage. I could take the time to listen, converse and correct but I don’t. I disengage, I brush it off as just “Oh boy, there goes crazy Joe rambling again! But generally he’s a good guy so I’ll tolerate it”. I need to start taking the time to push back and correct people I care about so they understand people are judging them when stupid things are said. Thank you!
Shit I thought I was so damn novel. Blast you.
I’ve owned and deployed a lot of pi, every model, and in my experience when I have similar instability as you described its related to the sdcard. Either the sdcard itself or the tray soldered to the pi. I had one pi that would corrupt the sdcard without fail after 2 months and I played with bending the sdcard metal tray inward a little to help press the card better into the contacts and the problem went away. Try fiddling with the sdcard holder or different sdcards.
You won’t miss him. You’ll miss the idea of who he was
This hits hard with some personal relationships I lost during COVID because they were anti vaccination. Couldn’t be bothered to care how their decisions affect others, that was ‘their problem’.
Ditto, my daughter thinks its great.
I came into this thread all puffed up with pride, only to be humbled by your post. Humility is important, thank you. Please accept my upvote as an insufficient offering to those who came before us.
I got excited because I saw a Honda EV, a prologue. Looked it up, it’s a rebranded Chevy Blazer. Honda is absolutely fucked…
I filed it and completely forgot. 3-4 months later I got an email letting me know I was removed.
Shell companies for a Russian front.
I didn’t down vote you but honestly interested in an adult conversation regarding your stance. If all I use is MS365 and I can use it in a web app with full 2FA how am I a security risk? I can access all the same things on my personal laptop, nothing is blocked, so how is Linux different?
Don’t ask for permission if most of what you do can be run from web apps. Its worked for me for a couple of years, I just can’t call IT :)
I am a landlord, I’m sure I’ll catch hell but whatever. I bought a dumpster of a house in a popular metro area and proceeded to pump $300k of my own money as well as doing half the repairs myself because I’m physically and mentally able. I also do all the maintenance on the property and I’m on a first name basis with the tenants. They call me for anything they need. Not everyone has the means to operate like this, but I don’t suspect anyone in this thread will listen to those realities. I now own a house that is worth a decent amount more than my total investment so I rent it way below market rate because I have two awsome tenants living in symbiosis and I don’t want them to leave (selfishly, because its more work for me). But I guess according to this thread I’m a leach. I’m tired of reading these childish black and white arguments, the world is inherently grey, nothing is simple and easy to boil down but everyone sure likes to try and make a simple agreement.
We let our bananas get ripe until they’re about to liquify and toss them whole in the freezer. When we have enough we take the black turds out and thaw them in a bowl. When thawed cut the tip open and squeeze out the condensed banana goodness like toothpaste. It’s gross but it makes next level banana bread. Use Joanne Chang’s recipe, its the best.

Perhaps not the same but I own a 150 year old home in America and I had foam insulation blown in. The insulation it provided was minor but what it helped tremendously with was drafts and air exchange. On older homes air leaks and sealing any cracks and drafts can potentially save you more money than adding actual insulation depending on how leaky it is. Food for thought though it might not help you.
Until you have to fix a leak. Just pack up and move.
I’m not a doctor and a dude, just speaking from personal experiences and shared stories, but are you on birth control? Birth control pills made my wife emotionally unstable when she was PMSing and finally she had enough and stopped taking them. It was a night and day difference and she hasn’t taken them since. Just food for thought.
