I saw so much of this. The same thing with Intel marketing dollars over AMD. Or Nvidia marketing dollars over AMD. Or Microsoft over Linux offerings for laptops. I’m surprised it’s not public knowledge at this point.

Please levy the largest fine imaginable for this spyware without consent. Because I know my country won’t fucking do it.
I grew up with games so I get it - but is your other shit handled? I.e. chores, homework and other responsibilities?
My kids are lazy AF and would probably agree with this.

Either that or a bot operating on his behalf. 13 day old account with 500+ comments - either a bot or some fuckin’ loser with nothing better to do than lick boot.

I believe these chip restrictions were delayed between the time this article was published (yesterday) and now.
He’s claimed DDoS before right after the purge. I’m pretty sure it was just the platform being crushed by normal traffic. I’m skeptical this isn’t just operating as funded.

They literally have manufacturing facilities in the US as well due to the IBM acquisition. This article seems to gloss over the reality of them being globally diverse for a while.
HP and Dell manufacture more in PRC.
https://xkcd.com/327 the original is even better :)

Don’t make me tap the sign

This is actually not the first year it’s been demoed. Last year it was just a proof of concept. It will take time to work the bugs out.
If the extraction is not working, you have 4 options.
Basically, extractions happen based on surface area, wet time, solvent time and pressure.
You don’t have an espresso machine, so pressure is out. There is only so hot you can make milk before the sugars start burning. That leaves grind size and extraction time. Test each one independently before combining.
I’m actually driving a Brazil right now that had almost no flavor until I reduced the grind size by 25%. Once I did, it all the sudden had flavor. Good luck!

Good discussion. I personally feel we need a US instance physically hosted in a neutral location.
I’d do it myself if I had the time. Reality is I can’t consistently make that time commitment. I’d be happy to throw my hat in the ring for setup/config/monitoring initialization.

I agree with your sentiment… But . world isn’t located in the US. I understand why mods wouldn’t want to get tangled up in our mess and bring home a whole heap of trouble to their doorstep for being nothing but gracious hosts.
This is a uniquely American problem that requires an American solution.

Website is amazingly responsive as well, seems to be working.
Yeah, but then they need to hire a guy to maintain the regex. And you could do something like “read every 3rd letter” and make that guy cry.
