  • “Outdated mission structure” just triggered something in me. Last gta I bought was 4. Got fed up with “new mission: drive to this faraway place and do difficult thing, if you fail restart from the beginning of the driving bit”. I abandoned 4 at that one mission where I had to lay siege to a skyscraper under construction and I kept losing the shootout and had to drive back there again. Kinda stopped playing, lost interest and never went back since.
Edit: just remembered that there was a mod to add save-anywhere to the game, I even tried that but couldn’t get it to work and that’s where I gave up.

  • Ah Tim, here we go with the “look how brutally honest we are” schtick. Yeah gamers dislike the launcher, but it’s not even about that; it’s about your business practices. Did you forget the part where you took the worst pages from the Xbox/Playstation book and tried to build an exclusivity platform on PC? Trying to buy devs with massive handouts and buy users with free games? We remember, Tim. We remember the Metro Exodus launch and the rest. Personally I can’t do much more than to deny you every single cent I can, but please be assured I’ll be doing that, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone. I don’t even have an account with you to pick up free games because that’d be one more account that legitimizes your shitty platform. Go bankrupt at your earliest convenience please.

  • It smells to me like ‘you’ll own nothing and be happy’. Someone founded a company on the idea of ‘People have a good thing going, how could we exploit it?’

What happens when you want to exit the contract within the 30 years?

What if you want to sell the house, and the new owner doesn’t want this scheme? Do the panels move with you to the new place? Depending on how hard it is to get out of the contract, it may turn away potential buyers.

Lastly, I may be distrustful of every company, but… When the sun is shining at peak brightness, what’s the guarantee that you get to use all of it? Surely there’s some clever ‘load balancing’ programmed into that inverter… You will never know for sure, it’s not yours.
