  • Not sure I understand the question.

If you mean about getting torrents that could be viruses the way it works I don’t think that would be an issue but they might have stuff in play to make it that way.

Given the torrents nor files are ever on your computer I can’t see it being problematic. Unless it’s possible to stream a video via torrent and that torrent somehow injecting bad code in.

Though another advantage to debrid is that majority of the content is cached due to the amount of people using it. So bad torrents would very likely not stay cached long but it could be an issue with more niche content maybe?

  • Joe Krogan! For one I love your name. I had to explain it to my gf cause she hates Joe Rogan and doesn’t know what a Krogan is and she got a good laugh. I feel like I see you all the time on the same communities I follow lol. Good idea though, Didn’t think of the network effect. I’m def gonna install it on my mom’s phone. She’s the only person I text who’s on android for the most part. And a co worker I’ve became friends with I said we gotta stop using this teams BS to chat so their gonna get signal.

Might be able to convince my gf but she’s one of the people who hate green texts so prob won’t wanna use a different app lol but il just install it on her phone and stop responding To iMessage texts haha.

    I use arch.
edit: lol while I am new to arch, I guess I kind of expected people to disagree with me. I was under the impression that stock arch is very lightweight? I know there used to be jokes about “I installed Arch” cause it’s supposed to be hard. But I installed Arch on my desktop and server recently, I did the manual install on my desktop and the guided install on my server. Both super straight forward. Plus Arch seems to have some of the best documentation across distros. I don’t know why it should not be suggested, unless I am missing something.

On top of that I’m still baffled how they let a contributor purposefully fuck up a translation to the point they had to stop downloads. Sure bad eggs happen but how did they not notice until after… especially with what happened with cyberpunks translation.

So happy I finally moved from Ubuntu to arch finally last week.
