Truly wish I could have kept playing this. I was having a blast. Roughly 60% of the way through, game started crashing 30 seconds in. Went back multiple save files, same thing. I’ve never been more disappointed in a game that I truly loved.
I finally ditched the early access to play Elden Ring for the first time haha. Realized around the Act III ending that it may not be for me due to the reliance on trading. Feels like I can’t earn my gear or get excited from the drops. To each their own, though.
Great! It evens out a little with space travel sections, but when it’s up and running it’s very fast.
I actually didn’t know about that! This was the first book of his I’ve read. Now I’m curious to experience just how bad Eragon was…
To Sleep In A Sea Of Stars - one of the most action-packed books I’ve read, even with a few lengthy “hibernation” space travel sections. Felt like an entire trilogy happening in a single book. Seems prime for a movie treatment, but would also be next to impossible to do in a single movie without completely butchering.
Death to spammers.
I’d insert some quote about fear here, but I don’t know a good one off-hand. In any case, I don’t believe it to be a good excuse.
Man, maybe with specific roles, too? That could be awesome. Pilot, ship mechanic, engineer, security, salvagers, etc. With some danger/time tied to the salvages.
Episode 1, where they are salvaging the Alliance ship and have to work quickly before they’re caught. In other words, not the planetary adventures and combat of Firefly because that would likely be too much of an undertaking to expand into that kind of game.
Loved this game, though I really hope the studio gets to expand on that genre, storyline, and environment. Very enjoyable for what it is, but I want more! Would love for a future story to take you outside of that shipyard, more like you’re running an independent derelict salvage operation, traveling around star systems searching for your next score (i.e. early Firefly).
Very sad. Have enjoyed all their games. Just reached the end of Shadow Gambit and would have gladly stuck around for more. Hope the rest of the studio goes on to do more elsewhere.
For point-and-click adventures, I’ve enjoyed the Samorost series, Machinarium, and Botanicula!
