Yeah, TBH I really haven’t listened to it more than maybe, I dunno, twice in my entire life so it might not be quite as bad as I remember. I just recall thinking it sounded like a bunch of white guys in the 80’s discovering rap for the first time. Kind of like Blondie’s Rapture but neither charmingly dorky nor actually kind of funky like that song.
Burning Inside is my favourite Ministry song. This album also has Test which is in my opinion absolute crap. Still, the album is probably my favourite of theirs.
Why isn’t this wrapped in newspaper? Oh wait, I guess newspapers barely exist any more :(
I had this happen on a 17 or so hour flight from Canada to Australia. I wasn’t even paying attention and only realised I still had the entire middle row free as the plane started taxiing. It was glorious.
Yup. And wait until you find out that Happy Days was itself a spin off (of a sort).
It’s always seemed kind of crazy to me that this was a spin off of Happy Days
There’s already a version of the switch that has an OLED screen
Yes. 44, Australian, drove a manual until very recently actually.
In Australia (Queensland at least) you have to pass a manual driving test in order to be legally allowed to drive a manual vehicle. At the time I was getting my license (1995 - 96) manual vehicles were still extremely common, plus I like driving a manual so it made sense for me.
Probably the pong game that my neighbours had hooked up to their tv in the very early 80s
I agree, and I have a lot of fun doing it. But I doubt that the average person would be interested in a discussion about yeast attenuation or which water profile to use for a particular style of beer.
I don’t think it’s super obscure, but I home brew beer and it’s a hobby where you can really go deep into the technicalities of tweaking recipes, building equipment, and just the overall process in a way that would probably bore the average non-brewer to death.
Disagree about the Holdo maneuver but I will say it really should’ve been Leia. It would’ve made so much more sense for her to go out that way.
My assumption was they were trying to shoehorn in the gang as a throwback to greaser hotrod culture (by way of mod scooter culture) since George Lucas was into that when he was a teenager, but it was so jarringly bad in an already bad series that it just came across as cringy and laughable. It didn’t help that those scenes were filmed incredibly clumsily and all the scooter gang characters were annoyingly tryhard.
Other people have mentioned Tutanota; as a user myself I can point out a few pros and cons:
Pro:
Con:
Overall, if privacy and control over your own email is important to you then Tutanota is a great choice. Just be aware that usability can be kind of a hassle.
Yeah that’s act ii. If you just got there you’re probably near the beginning though technically it’s possible to do a bunch of other stuff first. In any case, you shouldn’t find it too difficult to jump back in - just check your journal to see which quests you have in progress. And if you’re considering going back to game it’s definitely worth it - the story really ramps up over acts 2 & 3.
