Thank you! :)

Thank you, you rock! <3
I donate in USD since I’m a USian; ultimately the currency doesn’t matter much, it all gets converted and sent out for the servers and such anyway :)

Put it on PornHub and they can read it from atop Barbie?

Thank you! Every bit helps!

Thank you! <3

I’ve passed the question along and if someone gives me an answer, I’ll be glad to pass that along :)

Thank you so much! :)

Thank you! <3 And every bit helps, truly :)

Thank you! <3

I know that we look for nonprofit-help everywhere we can, but I don’t have a specific answer for you at this time, but I’ve marked this to see if we can answer you later, at least :)

Thank you very much! I started donating before I became an admin, so I can say that I know the feeling - this is the only site I currently donate to. For now. :)

Thank you so much! <3

My understanding is Ko-Fi which is why it’s preferred. As others pointed out, payment processors take out some fees for card usage, and my understanding is that Ko-Fi takes the least. That said, we have options because most of them aren’t too bad, and all donations help :)

Thank you! <3

It absolutely does and it is appreciated. Every bit goes to costs. <3

Ah, well, it’s, like, legally and morally autumn even if it doesn’t feel like it. lol. I grew up in Texas, so just think - you’re getting a good Texas start to the season, that’s all :) Stay cool, my friend!
I can respect that opinion, and I will say… I have a number of people blocked. It’s easy to do.
Speaking only for us here on Lemmy.World, we try to ban people who break the Lemmy.World ToS, which include issues like bigotry, incivility, spam, things like that. Not necessarily opinions with which we might disagree or find unpleasant. I think if I allowed myself to ban anyone with whom I disagreed, I would find myself quickly de-adminned, and rightfully so - it would kill the fedverse.
There are other tools for dealing with, well, tools. Including blocking on a personal level, or having community rules in place that make sense for that community that can help create spaces that are more comfortable to be in.
So while I agree with your sentiment, understanding the roles of the instance admins vs community moderators or individual choices - that’s why I set up a monthly donation before I became an admin. Because Lemmy provides me with good content and communities.
Everyone is absolutely free to make their own choices. And this reply is not an attempt to beg you to donate.
