This is exactly it. I’ve tried talking to a few of the guys that I work with and they are fully sure that every democrat wants to kill all the babies and turn all of their children trans. I pointed out that abortions should be between a woman and her doctor and that the government shouldn’t be involved at all… I got a sparkle of understanding from one of them but then he doubled down that MOST abortions are purely for convenience. Like first of all, no they are not, but even if they were it’s not anybody’s business. Trying to get him to understand that I’m not pro abortion, I’m pro mind your own fucking business.

Yeah my Lemmy.ninja account stopped working a few days ago. No clue why, or even where to look to find out. I hope it wasn’t just lack of funding because I gladly would have donated.

My grandpa had a million one liners, most were somewhat inappropriate but here’s a fun one. He’d say, “Did anyone get hurt in that wreck?” To any of my friends that drove over. When they inevitably asked “what wreck?” He’d say, “the one you pulled up in.” This was devastating to the ones who were super proud of their cars. Lol

I’m viewing this through the Liftoff app and your username has big block letters and a blue circle for the O but looks normal when viewed from other apps. Is that some customization you can do that only shows up if an app supports it?

Does liftoff do it from the comment section? I haven’t tried it. And if so does that interfere with your upvote/downvote swipes? (If it has that) I tried turning off the upvote/downvote swipes on thunder and it still wouldn’t let me swipe out of a post from the comments but now that I think about it, I wouldn’t want that unless it was only just one half of the screen so I could still upvote. I keep going back to Voyager because it feels like Apollo and I’m hoping they’ll emplement the swipe back at least from the post portion soon. I’ve got like 5-6 apps for Lemmy on my iPad. It’s pretty great we’re getting so much to choose from.

I’m with you on that. Everyone always joked about how dumb it was. My guess is the people that are mad are the ones who took that seriously and dumped a bunch of real money into buying a bunch of coins they now can’t use. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Lol

I really enjoy iced/ cold brew coffee but always felt dumb paying $5 or more for it, especially because of the waste. I bought a cold brew pitcher and some travel mugs, and now I can have my coffee for pennies a day with no waste. Only downside is you have to remember to make it at least 12 hours before you want it.

Edit to add: Total price for the pitcher and mugs was equal to about 8 cups of coffee from a coffee shop.

I assure you, the beans are of the highest quality.

Wefwef is pretty great so far. It’s working better today than yesterday when I started. Hoping that trend continues and looking forward to seeing things grow here. I imported my subreddit list from Apollo and found a bunch of similar communities to follow. I’m pretty impressed with how much engagement I’m seeing on some of them.
