This proves my point. Normal people don’t think like this. It’s weird. A bar without smoking is like a church Jesus. This is one of those topics online where you feel like you’re being deliberately gas lit. But I have to remember I’m surrounded by the weirdest of the weird.
They are not in the minority. The Internet is not the majority. You and I do not remotely represent the vast majority of people in any way shape or form. No one here does.
Most people want to bring smoking indoors back. The only people who don’t are the weird shut-ins who sit around posting online all day. People out in the real world don’t view having an after meal cigarette as equivalent to fucking slavery.

If you’re talking about the automated phone thing, they’ve been trying to do that since the 90s. In the past the secret “get me a human” trick was to keep mashing zero till you got a human. Today, you can just keep saying “human” or “I need to speak to a human”.
You’re assuming AI will successfully replace enough jobs to have a social impact. You’re buying into the hype. I can’t think of a single job it can replace.
I think your job might be safe. AI has been doing speech to text for over a quarter century. It’s been bundled with Windows since XP. And nobody uses it because it has all the same problems that modern AI has.

I used to make websites back in the 2000s. Hit trackers collected this info back then too. Knowing screen resolutions is useful for designing the website. Knowing all this info in general is helpful. If 99% of your visitors are coming from the US with a screen resolution of 1080p and are using Firefox, you know not to worry too much about making the site compatible with Netscape Navigator, 640x480 monitors, and translating everything to French.
I am surprised by this site knowing my graphics card. I don’t know why modern web developers would need to know that. I’ve been out of the game so long. Perhaps it’s useful info.
