SherpaTTS is Foss and works offline after downloading voice data
It’s been here since more than a year. https://blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/firefox-androids-new-privacy-feature-total-cookie-protection-stops-companies-from-keeping-tabs-on-your-moves/
It’s there on mobile. Check the details tab in tracking protection. You should see it mentioned there.

I will link my comment, which I had written for another person before. Sync for lemmy is currently in beta, so some things may be broken. But, most of it is still true. https://lemmy.ml/comment/834817
Last I knew fdroid didn’t support shizuku. Unless, you talk about 3rd party fdroid clients like droidify and neostore, etc. Also, unless xiaomi borked the adb perms(I’m sure they did like they do for accessibility service apps) shizuku can work with wireless adb.
It would still still prompt that pop-up. That was the case when I had one on android 10. It’s a miui thing unless it gets bypassed for this android API.
There’s a setting to disable scanning of installing apps. Disable it from security app. Also, don’t debloat the security app it will break things for you.
I have used Firefox on many smartphones since 2014. It’s not an anecdotal experience of mine. It’s the difference between chromium based browsers on android being more efficient compared to Firefox. Here’s the github issue which was open from 2020, now moved to Bugzilla: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/12731#event-8105829420
If this did not happen it would not have been kept open for so long. Just search tab reload in closed issues you will people still complaining while the repo was accessible.
Bugzilla issue from 2 years ago: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1752594
The migrated issue from github: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1807364
That may be true on desktop. But, unfortunately, the mobile app is way behind chromium. From being unresponsive, to outright buggy. It’s not a good experince. It’s been 2 years since the rewrite but it’s not getting much better or even close to fixing most of its issue. Meaning, using firefox on android is a handicap on yourself.
Not much. Just that lemmy[.]world instance was hacked

Thanks for the guide. It will make self-hosting more accessible.
It’s a picture. At least on thunder, connect and liftoff. And probably other lemmy clients too
If the internet has taught me something. Take everything as a literal and never check the unknown especially when people tell you not to. You may just find something much worse than the last worse stuff.
Lemmy should have the option to spoiler/NSFW pics in comments.
Thanks, we love you! Now, on to the next meme.
It’s a site issue. I have the same issues when browsing the site from hermit lite apps.

Native apps are apps written in the native language of the platform of choice. It would be Java for Android and swift for IOS. Native apps can request lower level access to your system than a webapp.
Now, a webapp is a basically a website which can run like a native app with similar features and is full screen unlike a website. The language is javascript for the front-end and the backend(server) handles some communication. So, webapps can behave and act like native apps but they are not native and won’t have the same lower level access to your system. Think access to storage, accessibility services, settings, etc. Webapps can also be slower compared to native apps which is prominent in non-flagship smartphones.
I do not know about clients without Google services. But, I use lemmy sites in pwa and jerboa, thunder and liftoff. They were alright.
I was using pwa in hermit and jerboa. Later I discovered liftoff and thunder. So, those are present in my tools too.
Yes, it can be resource intensive. Use mid models for best performance
