The journalists who published these articles had an opportunity to educate their readers by not spreading misinformation and by not misrepresenting Thunderbird’s relationship to Mozilla.
The issue here isn’t the disdain anyone has for Mozilla (although that might be yours). The issue is the misrepresentation of Thunderbird as a Mozilla project by news media.
Thunderbird is not a Mozilla project. It is independent of Mozilla including it’s financing and has been for several years now.
My understanding is MZLA was set up so Thunderbird could accept donations and manage it’s own finances independently of Mozilla. There have been no allegations anywhere that MZLA has been mismanaged.
These articles purport to be written by journalists though. Fact checking is meant to be a staple of the job description.
Thunderbird is funded by donations and operates under the MZLA banner.
These articles today are doing a disservice to the Thunderbird team who work independently of Mozilla afaik.
Have you used Thunderbird lately?
Clearly he isn’t responsible then /s
I don’t know about the web ui but I know in voyager you can block individual users so you can just block the bots causing issues. I do this and catch most of the bots I don’t want to see posts from.
I know you said you still want to see the bot posts but honestly try blocking those bots for a while. You probably won’t miss the posts that much and your problem will be solved.
The post open project maybe?.One day perhaps.
Yo, this is what I do b
I think I misunderstood your question earlier. It’s before the can is opened. The can in that picture has a tab that sits very firmly against the can lid. It’s hard to get a grip on it without using your fingernails and the tab also has little sharp bits so its very easy for the tab to cut the sensitive fleshy tissue under your fingernails as you pull the tab up. So I switch to using a spoon to jimmy it open before switching to using fingers to finish the job.
Yeah I’m starting to think there is a bit of confusion bout the issue. Oh well.
Apparently some side cutting openers cut in a way that there are no sharp edges either on the lid or the opened can. Someone linked a video about it in crossposted thread.
I’ll try this method next.
How do you pry these open? The tab in the picture is really tight against the lid of the can. Is there are trick to loosening these without picking at them with my nails?
I think a lot of the comments about my fingers are in jest. Even if they’re not it’s all water of this ducks back.
Your experience is the same as mine. Perhaps when tabs came into fashion they were just flimsier but these days they’re all so tight.
Seems like it’s been a while since pull tabs in Australia didn’t want to rip off your fingernails when you try to use them to open a can.
The finger shredding would happen as an result of opening the can and remain shredded after until healed so during and after. Dunno about the spoon.
Thanks for compliment.
