As a millennial who wasn’t interested in computers these types of stories will haunt me my entire life

I like Huberman but he’s too dunked into social media and I have no interest in supplement health. He often talks like someone who spends too much time on twitter. But he’s got some solid guests and great topics that often compliment what I do with my therapist.

I’d hate for people to pick up on this thread and immediately say everything he does is useless or misinformed. I don’t listen to everything he does because they are long podcasts, and I don’t like podcasts in general, but people here can be helped by listening to some of it. Depression, menopause, emotional intelligence, motivation, sleep - well informed guests and Huberman leaves them to do most of the talking.

I’m a boomerang. Reddit has the content, but it’s largely focused on the larger subs which are the ones I want to avoid. I’ll have to decide whether or not I want to run into obvious tankies (mayo) or try to spot misinformation campaigns (reddit).

And reddit is getting worse in every way. Reddit wants to turn into an ad platform and that’s the way things are going. Lot’s more locked comments and posts, totally unchecked misinformation and dooming.

On iOS through firefox the google login prompt can’t be closed. This is what prompted me back, I started using Voyager again.

I might come back and search for another home server, create a new account and delete my old one. Start fresh.

I haven’t found a place in my life for these types of TV series. Looks good though just prefer the complete arc of a movie or a mini-series.

Sets look kind of big budget artificial, soapy? Like that is some wicked blue dye on the suits, very fresh. Lovely hair and makeup. All good though I realize it’s just not my thing. A cinematic 90 minute fallout movie laser focused on 2-3 character arcs would be exciting to me.

I use it for marketplace though it’s not my favourite. More tire-kickers and scammers on FB than craigslist.

I think my friends who use social media still use messenger for group chats.

I don’t think there is a correct response or any intelligent response at all, I think we’re just watching a pattern that will repeat until someone finds a way to lasting peace.

I read it because someone at work recommended it to me but I didn’t find it very compelling. I think I read all of the books in the Southern Reach trilogy. It didn’t strike me as being anything special, just average sci-fi.

I didn’t like the movie either.

Hard to do with a trackpad or phone, (but I can’t remember it happening on my phone.)

Playing Last of us 2 while I’m in the middle game of covid.

I’m replaying it right now on Survivor. Great game but so grim. I can’t do long play sessions because I find it too taxing. It’s extremely polished so you can play it at any difficulty level and it works well.

I’m here now because I want to find another game to play alongside or after that isn’t so heavy.
