I don’t see a problem with it. I don’t know what tools you use, but the current process certainly isn’t ancient. Even if I use GitHub or something else, I still highly depend on my e-mail to actually know somebody published a patch and if I am supposed to review it. I don’t have to use a GUI coupled with shitty UI decisions. E-mails are very simple in their own way and I don’t find it ancient or bad.

Hello, I want you to know that Linux Mint has some issues:

• Their site was hacked twice and a malware-infected ISO was being distributed.
• They have a mixture of repositories where they get certain crucial things from Ubuntu’s repositories; this can cause trouble.

That being said, you may want to give Ubuntu officials a try instead.

I have met a Flat Earth conspiracy believer mom who was homeschooling her kid, explaining how the sphere Earth model is wrong and so on, her complaint was that despite her best efforts to indoctrinate educate her child, the child was not convinced that the Earth is flat. It goes to show that some children are just too intelligent to fall for this kinda shit. The child was eight or nine years old I think.

Manjaro Linux is Arch Linux based. Manjaro and Arch relation is like Ubuntu and Debian relation.

Manjaro has its own set of issues that you may want to stay away from.

I have Plasma installed on my Arch based installation, but I hardly use it since I also have i3 installed which I adore.

My i3 setup looks very similar to my Plasma setup, I prefer window managers because they are more productive to use.
