  • Yeah? The executives are firing people, to lower costs, make the numbers look better…? Which makes the owners of the business money?

Why wouldn’t the executives get bonuses or golden parachutes if let go? They are doing exactly what they are supposed to do.

Executives don’t make products, provide services, or add any productive value. They are just the face of the owners, and will do the “hard” things for them.

Like lie, commit crimes, do mass-layoffs etc etc.

I liked it because it didn’t feel like nostalgia slop. It felt like trying to take things in a new direction, while still rooted in the universe. Like the best of legends stuff tbh, in intentions and execution. Without being bound to actual legends stuff, making it just nostalgia slop (rise of Skywalker…).

I liked it was just a good movie as well. Great acting, great editing, great cinematography.

I grew up loving Star Wars, but I was never the attached type in general. I will always have the original trilogy, the clone wars tv show, the prequels to watch. Nothing changed about them with what happens in the Last Jedi. I don’t feel offended by a new thing being different.

Idk, it just felt so much better than Force Awakens, which felt like pure nostalgia slop. I actually had hope Star Wars would “get good again”.

I’d say I liked it for similar reasons I like Andor. But I actually do love Andor, and only like Last Jedi.

Maybe it also helped that I watched it in a cool movie theater while traveling and was pretty high…

And the whole “subverting expectations” thing… I don’t think Rian was trying to be edgy or be like “haa fuck you and your ‘expectations’”. J.J. just set up a terrible and fucking boring story with his first movie.

And Rian setting up Rey to be a nobody, and that it doesn’t matter if you have holy royal blood or some bullshit, was GREAT. That anyone can be the hero, not just the “destined one”. Like it was perfectly set up for the first new Jedi to be completely different, led by Rey guided by a changed and “grey” Luke, and the first pupils being the slaves and slum children. Idk… isn’t that much better than whatever the fuck was happening in the first and last movies…?

  • I think it’s pretty cool. The first time it happened I thought I was just “naturally tripping”. Or that I had a “super power”. But after the second or third time I just felt like it couldn’t be a thing only I ever experienced. So I searched online and found some people talking about it, their experiences very similar to mine, and eventually someone linked to the video I shared above and talked about the secret Thai royal martial art. All in all, I feel it’s indeed an ability all humans can have. I’m not sure on the mechanics of it, but if even blind people can “see” like this, I feel it must be something more than just “seeing” with the eyes closed, you know?

  • Ideology is one hell of a drug.

They care more about the idea of destroying the state of Israel than about the liberation Palestinian people. Hamas was born out burning anger and vengeance, not a desire to rebuild. That would the PLO or PFLP.

The fact is a one state of Israel-Palestine with equal rights for all, reparations and right-of-return to displaced Palestinians, is the only real solution to end this cycle of violence once and for all.

But Hamas doesn’t want that. Neither does Bibi or the Israeli majority. Each are so filled with hatred, one side from revenge, the other from supremacy, that they can’t see a future where they live in peace with each other.

The best people who really want peace can do is support the PLO and the PFLP, imo. If they get strong enough to overtake Hamas in Gaza, that would be a very big step towards actual solutions. At least from the Palestinian side. And Israel wouldn’t have much of a leg to stand on, “self-defence” wise.

  • This happens to me all the time. It hasn’t happened for a while now, but it used to happen more.

I saw a video of this martial arts class in the US, where they learn a secret technique from the (seriously) Thai royal family. They can see with their eyes closed as well.

    Here https://youtu.be/bq6NufaDR_w

I searched for it after many nights, while trying to fall asleep, seeing with my eyes closed. I had to look for some explanation, and I found the video and the Thai secret royal martial art…

And I only believe the video above because this happened to me many times. Otherwise I’d think they’re just full of shit and peaking through the blindfold.

  • Hostages don’t work…? Why would they be paid? They are just held for ransom. Are you dumb?

THE WHOLE OF ISRAEL IS A SETTLER COLONY BUILT ON TOP OF PALESTINE.

The Nakba destroyed the villages and cities of, and displaced over 70% of Palestinians to fund the state of Israel. The land Israel is built on is literally stolen from NATIVE Palestinians.

That is the definition of settler colonialism. A bunch of Europeans went to a land, murdered and forcibly expelled the natives to build an ethnostate.

Gaza is a concentration camp. The West Bank is a bantustan.

    HOW CAN YOU DEFENT ISRAEL???
