Shit looks dope af, kinda a mix of Doom/Blood and Cuphead. Definitely gonna buy it :)
A genuine depiction of “Plague Sapiens”: a distinct form of human evolution, entirely erased from memory until it resurfaced from the infernal depths of space.

You’re welcome!
Imo Hardkernel is much better than any RPI (you mostly pay for the hype…). I’m running a HC2, N2+ and M1. Everything works. Armbian doing great work here. M1 runs native arm debian with a nice Petiteboot net installer. Give it a try if you wanted to take the RPI 5. And the M1 has an nvme and Sata port too (just need the bracket for a 2,5" drive).
Okay, yeah price difference in Euros in DE isn’t as big either. But you pay more for a worse CPU. Underclock and volt the CPU and you’re still having a faster CPU with more cores. My HTPC (HP 400 G4 with 8500T) draws about 20-25w while streaming.
300 bucks oO
Better get something used with an 8500t for much less. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=8500t&_sacat=0
Or an Odroid M1 with 8GB Ram for about 100-150 bucks. https://www.hardkernel.com/shop/odroid-m1-with-8gbyte-ram/
Me every time I say something dark and sarcastically xD
Linux and Luks full-disk-encryption for every system. Remotely unlockable via ssh. HDDs are unlocked via keyfiles which are on the fd-encrypted SSDs.
For windows you can use VeraCrypt (don’t use Bitlocker!).
For single files I usually use 7zip or Peazip with long passwords.
No browser has a VPN function, it’s just a proxy. You can use sth like Bitmask for a free VPN. Calyx Institute and RiseUP provide some free servers too.
Usually less bloat ootb and less/no feature updates, longer update support. But actually I haven’t compared those Win11 versions by myself. I use Enterprise versions since Win7, with Win10 Iot Enterprise LTSC being the best version of all (at least currently) and it has support till 2032 :)
Windows should never be trusted in the first place. Fuck proprietary software…
Not a good idea, to share copyrighted material with your university account. Especially in DE. Archive.org would suit better!
Nevertheless thanks for your work and I would recommend to include Dism++ and maybe use an Enterprise version of Win11. But yeah, versions can be easily changed with Massgravel’s activator.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_(network) Not NSA and no backdoor so far. It’s not needed, control enough hops and you can trace a lot and even deanonymize clients. Tor has it’s weaknesses, maybe implemented just for that. But afaik they’re mostly caused by design.
This. While being annoyed by one of my grandmothers giving me bed sheets as a birthday present when I was around 10. I now totally understand and like it. Haven’t really bought much clothes since ever, cause my mother and sister are currently fullfilling my grandmother’s task for years now xD And it’s nice to use the money I would have spent on clothes to buy me more tech stuff I really want.
Been there, started scripting with PowerShell to have an after-setup-script to change reg entries, install tools (mostly through choco), run them (like dism++ cleanup and o&o shutup10 privacy tweaks) and migrate data from backups. Setting up and migrating took me usually 3-4h of work, sometimes more. With the scripts it’s just: Install Windows, update, reboot, update, reboot, run the script, reboot. Done. It’s like 30min of work.
Good thing I changed to linux, cause you can automate the whole process and preseed it into a debian image or kickstart rpm-based distros. It’s possible to do customized Windows images too. I have tried a lot of times. It never worked like it was supposed to.
Fedora Silverblue enters the chat :) Haven’t had a single hiccup so far. Only ublue spins are a pain in the butt imo. That’s why I configure everything by myself.
But I need to try NixOs soon
Oh, that Info isn’t on their github page. Thanks for clarifying :)

Has some1 tested this under Wine/Proton yet? I love community remakes! ManicMiner (Lego Rock Raiders remake) and OpenTyrian being one of my favourites. So many childhood memories of the 90ies gaming era coming back with stuff like this.
Do you know some more hidden remake gems?
Tor traffic is for some ppl a no go. Better obfuscate it with bridges or use a VPN then.
Think of this: You’re hosting a darknet market and there’s lots of traffic going on your site. That Tor traffic can be used to find your server, which uses Tor connections and has a lot of Tor traffic. Oh w8 thats bad. With a VPN you can hide that lots of Tor traffic is coming from your server.
Yeah, now that you say it. Sadly we must wait till 2025…
