I find a cafetiere even less work for basically the same. Just don’t use boiling water, either cool it off or use one set to 80c.

Ok so this one is someone trying to move to “the cloud.”
They had a database they used. It was on a server in the office. We were tasked to clone the db server to a hosted VM. Due to order of creation this got put on a new host without anything yet on it.
They needed a site to site VPN to keep privacy, that was all fine. However after the clone and during testing, their guy there said that this one part was really slow. We take a look and everything is good with performance of the server and of the VPN. I have to pop on to take a look.
It was in an office app and written in VB. (I forgot which one.) It was indeed slower on the hosted server. So I took a look at the function (he got it up for me) and I could instantly tell the issue.
This part was a lookup page that searched for you input. The function retrieved the entire table, then filtered the results in the client. I explained that transferring the whole table over the internet would be slower than on the local lan.
This guy said he originally wrote this, but “forgot VB.”
In the end they decided not to update the app or keep the server in the office, but instead they rented some VDIs in the same data centre as the db.

I know a couple of people who think they are clever for these kinds of substitutions, I can probably use this fact on them. Not sure they will change their ways after, they kinda oppose any change.

Glad I have GTA:sa on dvd still.

Great! We can get (almost) a whole year of using it with Exchange Online before EWS is turned off!

I once saw someone get an ad for the new phone as a notification on their current one. They had never had a notification from Samsung like that before. At that point I knew they would build in advertising for all their other products in to the products.
I have never bought a Samsung device since. Some people I know live them, but it put me off so much.

No way, those gem costs are way off, they have to be just larger than one of the packs. Minutes would cost 550 so that you either need to buy 2 500s or a 1250 pack.
Is that white deck going to be an official colour or is it them just showing of custom cases? They also sneaked in a translucent case.

Probably unrelated, domain spoofing is common, but miss-configured mail servers will accept those emails and process auto replies. They can also abuse input forms to try and send out emails, but that typically does not have much control over content.
If you are getting more emails than you can deal with, than can be used to try and mask other emails by burying them in a large email volume. In that case you should be looking for emails from important accounts you do own (eg banking.)
No mention of ms edit? I feel this won’t last.
That’s watts multiplied by time, aka energy.

I feel like this picture has 4 to 8 times the number of pixels I remember from the fmvs.

Part of the sale issue for me, is that I sometimes already own these deep discount games. It makes it feel like there are less good deals.
Also some new games have what I consider to be really high base prices, so a 60% discount is still not near the impulse buy range.

So you’ll need to be licensed for each core on you phone that could run tiktok?

What is the server are they on?
If they are just on a windows server, then the indexing service is actually good for fast results on a network share. If it’s a windows 10/11 pc, I think you need to enable classic search for it to provide results to clients over the network.
Alternatively I believe everything (the program) supports indexing network locations.

So this reinforcers my policy of not buying Samsung. They really do just retroactively add ads to every product with a screen.

I mean they dropped the parts of ip4 that are not used. They only multiplied the number of bits by 4, otherwise it’s the exact same ideas. The confusing part might be that a device gets multiple addresses off the bat. Using decimal for 128 bits would have made the address even worse.

Probably not worth pirating, will still run like crap.
Forgetting about it is probably the best insult you can give it.
Came across a printer that had the hp instant ink cartridge installed. It will only print with the subscription. They had it, but it was not enrolled. So do the enrollment, which requires you to print and scan a page for some reason. Guess what, can’t print out the enrollment as it has an instant ink cartridge in.
