  • I’d never drank it until I was 32. I decided to start drinking it because all the soda I’ve had throughout my life (pretty much addictrd to mountain dew, Dr pepper, and red bull throughout my life) was starting to catch up to me. Soda is way worse for you than coffee, and I wanted a healthier option. I hated it at first but kept drinking it. Now I look forward to it. 2 cups a day, any more than that and I get anxious and jittery. And best of all, haven’t had soda since (except the occasional jarittos). Still have never drank alcohol though, addiction runs in my family

  • This is a very simplistic take on a very complex situation. I have friends in Tel Aviv, I’ve visited their homes. Some were raised very orthodox jew in Jerusalem, didn’t even have internet most of their lives. I’ve been to the Western Wall and seen the Jewish people praying, while the Muslims watch outside the gate (they each have their own time they can go in).

Talking with all my friends, the answer is always “it’s complicated”. It’s only religion so far as “we want to occupy the same space”. It kickstarted it, but that could have been anything – oil, water, ports, whatever. But since it turned to land, it became very politically motivated. Who can powerful countries ally with for key tactical military presence? For the people living there, how can I feel more safe?

I’m kind of rambling, but there’s way too much to talk about in just a comment. But yea, the answer is that it’s very complicated.

  • Not sure what will work for you, but I lost 40lbs by riding my bike 12 hours per week, and cutting processed sugar from my diet.

Now I’ve moved on to hypertrophy lifting with Caroline Girvan 5 days per week, and riding bike 6-8 hours per week. I’ve gained 5 lbs back, but its muscle and is fine.

Also, oatmeal with a fruit (either blueberries, strawberries, banana, or raspberries) in it every morning for breakfast
