Creating a new community over at !vegan@vegantheoryclub.org and !vegan@slrpnk.net seems good however I would like to make recommendations against lemmy.ml and hexbear.net as they are known to host tankies and are heavily biased against anti-CCP and Russian(Putin) dissidents.

As a software dev who’s participated in a couple of game jams and several group projects,

• I’d say that anyone that claims to be a designer but has no programming experience is typically incompatible with any project
  • and it’s due to the disconnect of understanding just how difficult it can be to translate certain design tasks into functional code

with weighing longterm pros vs cons personally I’d still try and convince the community to transfer over as:

• the risk for staying on lemmy.ml seems too high
• hitagi seems to be trying their best to fix this with no fault of their own
• moving would send a message that fucking with communities with illogical reasoning would not be in the devs best interests

hope I’m not misinterpreting but wouldn’t staying on lemmy.ml only delay a potential recurrence of problems?

cause what’s stopping the admins from nuking the anime community if they’ve already chosen to defed from ani.social?

tbh to me it makes the most sense to migrate the community to ani.social as they were the community that was unreasonably impacted from this decision

the times I’ve switched to showering once a day or every other day is when there was water shortages and droughts happening here

hmm not sure if that would work as the model that he was using would be different from what’s available so he’d probably notice some differences which might cause a mix of uncanny valley and surrealism/suspension of disbelief where the two are noticably not the same

plus using a chat-only model would be real tragic as it’s a significant downgrade from what they already had
