If you’re up for ARPGs, simething like Titan Quest or Grim Dawn have many hours worth of gameplay.
Worth looking at as well is anything in the Monster Hunter series. World and Rise are both amazing along with their expansions and Wilds just recently released.
All of my recommendations are long-term games with many hours worth of playtime.
I’m long awaiting this company burning to the ground and it’s CEO imprisoned.
Hopefully he’s “imprisoned” in the building while it burns down.
You pull moderately hard.
Edit: If it’s superglue you might have to pull a bit harder.
Wish instance blocking actually blocked properly. But the main devs know everyone would block the tanky triad immediately and they’d have no one to troll.
They’re gonna turn into dicks about it.
Even if this was started for a good reason it would turn to shit eventually. But as a big company, this was done purely to make money off of FOMO.
Only preservation this is about is preservation of future profit.
And this is another reason why I pirate so many games.
They made their money on the hype when the games were released way back. Make them available and people will buy them instead of pirating. But they’d rather lock things away to cause FOMO like you said. They keep thinking about short-term profit rather than long-term steady income.
This has nothing to do with preservation.
I also don’t agree with the killer games thing, but humans are very adaptable as a species.
Normally that’s a good thing, but in a case like this exposure to something shocking or upsetting can make it less shocking or upsetting over time (obviously not in every case). So, if AI is being used for something like this and being reported on isn’t it possible that people might slowly get desensitized to it over time?
That’s fair, but I still think it shouldn’t be accepted or allowed.
Fair enough. I still think it shouldn’t be allowed though.
Yes, but how is the AI making the images or videos? It has to be trained on SOMETHING.
So, regardless of direct harm or not, harm is done at some point in the process and it needs to be stopped before it slips and gets worse because people “get used to” it.
They’ve accomplished nothing except further pissing off some of their most competent user base.
I don’t think they’ve cared about the competent users for a very long time. They only want the users who click OK
or Next
without reading or thinking.
I only know the DNS blocking from them.
ETA: Not sure if their app does more.
DNS blocking (such as AdGuard) doesn’t work for everything. Ad blocking extensions are the only way to block YouTube ads in your browser as far as I know.
Good thing there’s so many options for people to find what they’re looking for.
Nice. I’m hoping to get there eventually, but work stuff is keeping me on Windows.
When I stop needing Windows, that’s gonna be one of the first distros I try. Haven’t tried the atomic distros properly yet.
My browser clears history and cookies automatically when I close it. Been doing it that way for years and it works for me.
I have to login to everything everytime, but it’s worth it to me.
ETA: Because of this I don’t experience the slowdowns you mention, but it comes at the price of logins not being persistent.
