Could a province have a first people’s, or other language as their official, if they wanted? Or is the option just the two national official languages?

For instance, in the U.S. there is no national language. Most government forms are provided in MANY languages and/or can be requested in them.

I’m not sure in the US a university could require language profiency in a specific language. To be fair, though, I haven’t researched it. Maybe somebody can clarify if there are any federally funded ones that do?

If Canadian universities require conversational French for 80% of grads but the only official language is English, then I wonder what the legal basis is for the requirement? If both English and Fench are official national languages, I understand how that would be the basis.

I’m sure any sane person would answer no civilians casualties are acceptable. Which one of many reasons why Hamas must be eradicated, co-locating to intentionally cause the death of civilians. It’s why what Hamas is doing by co-locating is one of the worst war crimes.

As for reluctance, I think it’s about everyone knows that nobody except Hamas wants civilian casualties. Look even here on worldnews how successful they’ve been with that propaganda.

And that doesn’t even mention the regular attacks by Iraq, Houthis, Syrians, etc on US troops and civilian shipping lanes.

Was it the multplie wars the Arab countries launched to destroy Israel, and since they failed, it was an atrocity?

Was it when Rabin was trying hard for two states and Arafat walked away at Oslo?

Or was it when Israel ceded control of territories back to the Palestinians and ended up having the Palestinian security forces firing on them in return?

Or were they just rocket enthusiasts who loves lobbing rockets into Israel’s civilans, and decided to form a club?

Was it around 48 when Muslim and Arab states stole the land and kicked out over 800,000 Jews?

Definitely, Arafat ignoring Perez’s plea to crack down on Hamas helped them grow and ultimately get rid of him. OH, IRONY!

Was it thr suicide bombings and bus bombings campaign right before the election that Pereze was leading in, and after the bombings Bibi won by less than half a percent?

If this was before October’s attack, you would have a more compelling case. But Israel is not doing it jn a vacuum, and that’s if we ignore THOUSANDS of rockets lauched at civilians year after year.

Saying Israel is the side of killing children, though, is a talking point written by Hamas. And yes, they are responsible for many deaths by design to outrage people in the hopes of sparking a wider war. Hiding behind the children they have gotten killed is actually a war crim itself, co-location.

Let me try and clarify, this was an independent poll conducted by the Arab World for Research and Development. An independent Arab polling organization. It wasn’t conducted by Hamas or the IDF or the PA, etc.

And as I’ve said many times, I don’t evaluate a conflict by whether one side has more casualties. The corollary is that the conflict would be more acceptable if more people died on the other side. Knowing that’s false let’s us know that the logic attempted has derailed. It’s simply ethically and morally bankrupt.

I also understand using a debate tactic to attack the data when it’s saying something that’s not compatible / supportive of the narrative one is pushing.

I’m happy to look at a different recent poll, or look at a source of yours why this isn’t the most recent and best numbers we have. I would love it if support for Hamas wasn’t so high and would be really pleased if the October attack was condemned and not celebrated.
