I guess Triangles. Most of them are too complicated but I guess they suit the KDE experience

I do like the little chat bubbles in the letters d
Sorry I don’t understand what this means. I am not a computer whiz but just like the simplicity of typing things versus navigating menus.

15 stories high in the air over a concrete street.

I liked East of Eden by Steinback. And Siddhartha by Herman Hesse.
I would love to only use the computer in tty but would be hard to edit images in GIMP. Or do you still launch GUI apps directly from tty? Most websites are an abomination viewed through lynx or similar.
I use this one: https://github.com/erkserkserks/openboard
I’ve listened to every single episode of his podcast for years, bought his books, and honestly his material was kinda life changing for me. Went from using Facebook and Apple ID everything to using Graphene OS, Linux, got friends and family using Signal, masked cards, VOIP numbers, etc. I’m sad to see it go but I understand sometimes it’s time for new chapters in life and wish him well. Maybe one day someone else on staff can create some new episodes.
The openboard fork with the swipe function is amazing.

I wear daily contact lenses and put a small container in my bedside drawer to use as a contacts trash can at night before I fall asleep and empty it weekly-ish. Before they would end up all over the floor and create a mess.
You could use Marti as a nickname.
Bonus points if the dog is teeny. Mar-teeny
You are lucky. My mom used the same dishes we used ourselves for the cat food and would rinse them off in the sink with a sponge. And she used a different dish every time so no bowl or plate in the house was safe. Made me feel icky eating dinner out of a cat food bowl but she thought I was strange for caring.

We had an “automobile hairdryer.” On school mornings after I took a shower and was being driven to school, I would lean my head up towards the dashboard and have the A/C blowing full blast to finish drying my hair. I would do this every morning in elementary school. Probably not very safe now that I think back on it.

I’ve had this happen with iCloud. Deleted stuff from the server and then it keeps coming back. There was a problem device not getting the memo to delete and kept re-uploading the data. I had to sign out of my iCloud account and sign back in my devices to fix it.
I think you can share files with other nextcloud instances in a federated way but I have never tried it.

I think the best anyone can do is try to make life as good as possible in their mini sphere of influence, their personal bubble of friends and relationships. If everyone did that, society would be better. I’m not sure what to do about psychopaths in power. Maybe deal with the psychopaths in your personal world or aim to reduce your own personal behavior that’s harmful to others?

I don’t do anything special, as far as they know. I give them my phone number - but it is a VOIP number I use for family and friends only. I don’t use it with any accounts or sign-ups anywhere so I don’t care that the number gets out. I also mostly just text to plan a meet up in person. I don’t text juicy conversations. For closer friends, I got lucky and we’ve migrated to Signal.

I use Vanadium with a custom DNS in system settings - NextDNS. It doesn’t get rid of every ad but it’s pretty good and blocks nearly all of them. You can choose adblock filter lists as well with NextDNS.
All of that info is already available for anyone who has a government ID or census record
