Maybe regular pencil would contain moving parts if it was a quartz analogue pencil?

Finnish doesn’t have umlauts. Characters ä and ö are entirely different and separate from a and o so it doesn’t make sense to add the letter e signifying a-umlaut or o-umlaut when writing in Finnish. German has umlauts so it makes sense to write either ä or ae when writing in German.
I agree it’s best to write Maatta if letter ä is not available. I suppose the vocal harmony makes it easy to distinguish whether a is supposed to be a or ä and if o is supposed to be o or ö.

No trench too great.
No ditch to dig.
No shovel to break.

Hmm… That’s improb able. But not impossi ble!

Pretty much. Please, make yourself comfortable as you come for table.
I still have rif on my phone for it’s sentimental value. Two years ago it took a while to get used to opening Connect for Lemmy instead of rif.
I sometimes wonder why some programmers don’t use vim. Aren’t they lazy enough to be bothered about unnecessary work and “friction” you have to deal with when using ordinary editors. I’d rather do the interesting parts of the job and command the computer to do the rest. Of course the communication with the computer has to be as concise, as effortless, and as easy as possible.
Recently I started to workout more often. I didn’t even notice the calluses before this problem. Seems it’s the lat pull-downs where it mostly occurs.

There are a host of other deliberate annoyances Amazon has created to make sure the tablet is used for their purpose rather than your own.
Do you have some examples? Sounds both horrible and interesting.
I didn’t realize I’ve been saying “hand shoes” all my life. Finnish word hanskat obviously comes from Swedish handskar. Maybe I should say käsineet instead so it would have nothing to do with shoes.

Oh. I just assumed it didn’t have that option on linux either because macOS cal doesn’t have it.

Very useful for having a quick glance at calendar. Although it’s annoying that there’s no option to have week start on monday.
Regex Crossword. Unfortunately it doesn’t have as many puzzles as the non-FOSS alternative.

I see people in this thread complaining about fake sugar and someone mentioned chewing gum with real sugar. I’m just wondering do they sell xylitol gum in America? I see no point in chewing gum if it’s not even healthy for teeth.
Yes, the UI in Slack is more cryptic after the update. I had some difficulties with searching for messages in the new design. I think you can’t open the search results in context anymore IIRC. Also the change of color scheme. They didn’t even bother to change all the icons to match the new color or they just made the change so quickly they didn’t have time to.

Which things do you find boring and restrictive about it? I think it’s rather nice although I don’t like some of the changes after Catalina like moving from skeuomorphic icons to more symbolic ones.
Other than aesthetics I think editing and writing is fast on macOS even when not using vim. I even changed my PCs to use mac keyboard layout because it’s better. Of course when using vim, editing should work same on any system at least in theory.

Half man, half bear and half pig obviously.
Well, calling someone a redditor can also be perceived as insulting so maybe they can both serve a similar function.
That’s really nice. Too bad many features in it are not implemented. I liked that old version of MS Paint so when I got Win 7 I copied the exe from old Windows version to it.
When the solenoid releases the handle it should then weld the lock mechanism so it couldn’t be tampered with.
