Methamphetamine is serotonergic. Adderall is not. Methamphetamine tends to induce psychosis that makes the user hostile and dangerous. Adderall certainly can, but the chances of that happening are hardly comparable. There are numerous valid reasons why meth has an extreme stigma and Adderall does not. Attempting to infect Adderall with that stigma makes life so much harder for people like me who can’t function without taking it. People ought to be precise with their language when they talk about things they understand, and they ought to be silent about things they don’t understand. Other than to ask questions to attempt to understand of course, but how often does that happen?

If you don’t believe me, there isn’t really anything I can do to change your mind. It doesn’t matter to me either way, but no I don’t go on stackoverflow because it’s toxic and unhelpful. I go on forums or IRC if I want to discuss the development of a library.

I don’t get how you could think that’s what I meant. Every person with an internet connection uses a search engine. I use search engines to find relevant documentation. I assumed that went without saying.

I’m IP banned due to my VPN. If they don’t want my business, that’s fine. I’m not getting off my VPN just to interact with proprietary software.

Learning the proper way to do things has nothing to do with being smart. I don’t think I’m smarter than my peers, I just have a longer attention span (thanks adderall!)

I’ve always, always been a documentation-only guy. Meaning I almost never use anything other than the documentation for the languages and libraries I use. I genuinely don’t feel that I’m missing out on anything, I already write code faster than my peers and I don’t feel the need to try to be some sort of 10x developer.

My cyberpower UPS works well. There’s a service you can run to shut your computer down or whatever when it goes to battery power (check arch wiki) but it also works with GNOME (its displayed how a laptop battery would be displayed, but its labeled as a UPS) and it works well with NUT too.

Tbh I did not realize their prices increased. I’m happy to pay for their service though. It’s the only subscription I pay.
