@kebab @CAVOK it‘s 600 billion over all. NYT quote: . „A senior U.S. official said that those investments would include pharmaceuticals and the automotive industry, among others“ https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/27/world/europe/eu-trade-deal-trump-tariffs.html?utm%5C_source=flipboard&utm%5C_medium=activitypub. I also couldn’t believe that Germany, France and Italy would put their thriving military sector in danger.

@Zacryon @schizoidman first problem here: insanely rich people don’t have a high income. They use excising stocks and co. to take loans so that they don’t need to pay tax on it. They maybe get dividends from stocks but that’s also normally not needed. E.g. Steve jobs only got 1$ as Payment at Apple for his role as a CEO. Not because he was so invested in his company, but because he got a lot of stocks which were lower in taxes then the actual payment.

@UrPartnerInCrime at least we are not the baddies this time…

@gigachad @CAVOK oh don’t give the orange boy ideas, next headline will be “they ripp us off, EU must bring 90% of their citizens to truth network (or how ever his daily shitpost site is called) to get tariff relief!” 🤣 I hope EU does it like china, we can survive a view month longer with that than america.

@MaggiWuerze @Zer0_F0x thats right but does really someone believe, that this won’t happen? There are members of the afd who are clever enough to form a new party thats just “new enough” to be legaly not a follow up party. I don’t think we will get rid of this party or to be more clear, of that spirit that lives within this party. Especially with the CDU/CSU at the moment, which is doing everything at the moment to destroy the trust in the democratic partys and this system.

@Barbarian ah yeah sorry, it was too early and no coffee was there to whisper “think again” 😀another “second class” is also the candidate status.

@Barbarian would be great if EU finds a „second class“ membership where we only have a good travel and economy system with other countries but not a full membership. But when we look at UK, who left the EU, and how we struggle to find the way back to each other it‘s quite hard to imagine something like that at the moment. 😫
@TipsyMcGee @dubyakay so insulting someone (police or someone else doesn’t matter) is in fact illegal in Germany and I would say these were insults. BUT this never allows you to attack someone, especially the police here is quite strict with that. But tbh. internal investigations normally do nothing at all.
