All I got to say is that the new Steam controller better link to devices as a controller and not a mouse. The current steam controller shows up as a mouse when I connect it to mobile devices via Bluetooth, so I can’t use it with games that have controller integration build in to the game, since they think I am connecting a Bluetooth mouse. The only reason I don’t use my current steam controller as my main controller is because of the mouse issue.

AHHHHHHHH I love my steam controller. I love this upgrade to the Steam Link and the Steam Controller. I am definitely going to try and get this and the Steam Machine. I hope the pricing is doable.

Honestly would love something like this for lemmy. On old reddit I had a enhancement suite script that tagged know bad actors so I could filter them out/add grains of salt. But instead of like on Bluesky where you subscribe to a list managed by someone else, I’d like a local filter that I can apply and won’t update until I update it.

I used to have to drink a glass of milk with every meal when I was growing up, I didn’t even have the option of water, it was milk or nothing. I stopped drinking milk when I moved out. I haven’t had a glass of milk in 25 years. I still consume dairy, I just don’t drink a glass of straight milk.

But if you have a 401k or any type of IRA, the same people who invest pensions are also doing that investing for you if you aren’t managing it ( IE: mutual fund and etfs) and the investments are pretty much the same for both, so if pensions tank, so will your 401k.

Hi, yes its me, I am a won’t pay-er. Canceled Netflix the 2nd time in a year they jacked rates. Canceled Spotify the 2nd time in a year that they jacked rates. Canceling Hulu and D+ at the end of this month. I used to torrent everything before Netflix and when Hulu was free, started paying because it was cheap and easy to see all the shows I wanted. Now streaming is just as bad and cable plans used to be so I am setting up my new seedbox now and its cheaper to pay for the premium seedbox + stream from Jellyfin and I can get back to seeing all my shows that fractured off in to streaming services I didn’t pay for.

Honestly I am impressed at how far seedbox services have come, they are almost totally plug and play, very little configurations needed

AI bots use existing search engines to get results, it just that the results are now told to you like a conversation instead of a list of links. LLM bots are not search engines and these AI companies are not building search engine bots, they are LLM bots that generate predictive text based on already existing search engines that actually do the indexing. They wouldn’t work at all if it wasn’t for Google and Bing. The referral source may have changed but the SEO strategy is still the same.

Loved my steam controller, just like all the best stuff it took some configuration to get it perfect, but once it was set up it was the best controller. I am firmly a fan of configuring my stuff to work the way I want to use it, not adapting to how someone else thinks I may use something.

If it makes you feel better, it will never be the same as it was when you first played. Every time there is a xpac that looks interesting I have tried and failed to get that feeling back. It devolves very quickly into feeling like a job again.

AH I have that one too, loved it for years but then the click went out and it started double clicking randomly. I took it apart to try and fix it and no luck, its in my dead mouse drawer along with 2 G302s, the MK mouse, a M240, several Microsoft mice, a Naga, Death Adder and 5 cheap no name mice. They aren’t all actually dead, just dead to me.

I ended up replacing it with the G502, which is not an upgrade or even a side grade but it works for what I need it to do for now. For my laptop I am using a cheap no name bluetooth mouse for now. It’s way too light and disconnects randomly, but it has bluetooth and 5 buttons with is the minimum count I need.

Hmm, I might try the MX Anywhere. I have a M240, I like the size and weight and the Bluetooth connectivity, but it only has 3 buttons, that got old real quick. Look like they don’t even sell that one anymore.

I don’t have a guild to host for anymore, but I used to host one years ago and it was solid as a rock. I am glad mumble is still going strong

I am on a 6 year old computer playing 10 year old games. I don’t see a need to upgrade anytime soon.

I have been looking for just the right mouse for ages and the market for mouses (mice?) is terrible. I’ve been looking for a 5 button mouse that supports bluetooth (reliability) and I am actually so frustrated with what the options are. They are either massively over engineered, huge, expensive paper weights or cheap, super light, cheap junk I can crush with my weak feminine hands. I have ranged from top of the line hundred dollar gaming one to junky light weight 10 dollar ones and I am still looking. (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

Its been ages for me, so I may be incorrect now. I think the chat is not persistent and I am pretty sure there is no channels. Its most definitely not set up how discord is where its more of a chat client that has voice rather than a voice client that has chat.
