  • A bench, adjustable dumbbells and a pullup bar will get you there. Lots of home/garage gym information out there. And then there is body weight training, yoga etc if you don’t want to work with weights.

But then there is the motivation and discipline factors. For me it is easy to put on a workout video but also easy to not really put in any effort. I’m bad at holding myself accountable at home. So instead I go the gym. One should also never ignore the social aspect of hitting the gym even if you seal yourself off with headphones and never talk to anyone. You do become part of the group/scene. And if your gym offers them I will recommend classes.

From old timey union fight songs (ex Workers of the world, Awaken) to protest rock. The Swedish band Nationalteatern have a great banger “Staten och Kapitalet” about that the state and the capital sit in the same boat, but it is not those who row and the whip does not lick their fat necks.

  • It really is! Since summer-ish been doing the negatives (eccentric?) of the pullups inbetween other things. At one point I started seeing if I could get up as well. Half. Then one. Did that every now and then as a bit of checking in to see what progress I’ve been doing.

Can’t wait for tomorrow after spinning to see if it was a fluke or not.

Still decent bands out there? Oh bloody gosh there are! Let me just give you two, if not we’ll be here until dawn. There is Icelandic Misþyrming and Finnish Havukruunu. Both leaning a little bit into more atmospheric soundscapes rather than the “pure” low-fi dissonance black metal is known for. Their whole libraries are worth listening to and searches gives you quality starting points.

  • It’s just more of the same but with a reset. With a puny weak sauce season mechanic I couldn’t be bothered to regrind all the reknown, all the dungeons etc. Got bit further into endgame compared to pre-season but the lack of storage and organisation made me quit a few weeks ago. Four (4) stash tabs, or is it five, and no search. How the heck am I supposed to manage loots and dungeons?

    Nah, back to other arpgs
