Lemmy currently lacks the userbase for niche, specific communities, or subregional communities

That statement is going to bite is ass in 4 months

Hmmm. Try this:
lemmy.world/c/likeadragon
Sorry I’m on mobile and Jerboa for Android is quite limited ATM.
Otherwise search for likeadron, it should pop up

Even if the Fediverse catches on and that Reddit goes down the way of Digg, Reddit will still remain a goldmine of information for years.

Considering it might not go out for at least 7-8 years, if not 10, I’m not suprised.

Because why would they say otherwise. DON’T PRE-ORDER GAMES

This is like watching a trainwreck in slowmotion. I feel so bad for employees whose company was bought up from Embracer.
I think it will more of less follow that path naturally in the years to come, if it ever catches on. You can already see this happening with some instances (ie lemmy.ca mostly devoted to canadian topics, etc)
You have to remember that the amount of lemmy servers exploded in the past week or so. We’re pretty much figuring this out collectively

What was the point of all those acquisitions then? This is horrible
Well this is sad.

That was such a weird thing to do, considering that Starfield isnt even out yet.
My guess it that TES6 won’t be out for a good 6-7 years more.

There’s a few subs designed for that as well:

When you sort by “New” it kinda refreshes in realtime.

c for “community”

No. But you can search them in the communities tab (local or global) and surbscribe to them. And if it doesn’t exist, create it :)
Lemmy has grown exponentially in the past month, it’s frankly amazing how well it’s able to sustain the massive influx of new users, but yeah, some features like this one are dearly missed
