If you can’t pull a cable and are dependant on wi-fi, but still want a cable at the end point, buy a wi-fi bridge. You can see it as a switch that you can connect your stuff to with cables, but the connection between the bridge and the router/access point will be wireless, wi-fi.

Alternatively, if you have an extra, unused ethernet interface on a computer that is already connected to the internet, you can share internet through that interface, making your computer a bridge.

This can be accomplished with an android phone and a usb ethernet adapter too. Though you might want a usb hub or split cable for charging.

Should also be easy to acomplish on windows. At least it was on windows 7, when I last used it.

Get a Raspberry Pi. Newer models have wi-fi. Then you can host all kind of stuff. As long as it is for your own use, you don’t need that much computing power. As far as software is concerned, the type of physical connection doesn’t matter. Wi-fi stability can be excellent or it can be super frustrating. Depending on your circumstance.

Science dominates our society so much, just becauce of it’s usefullness. There is an evolutionary aspect to science itself, right there. The groups that rejects science falls behind, those that embrace it prosper. The stronger prevails, thus science.

Since we are all going; here is my take. Breasts were always sexual in nature. For most species they signal fertility and what part of the cycle the individual is in at the moment. At some point human females evolved to have perpetually inflated breasts. There are a few different theories as to why that happened, but it is beside the point for this discussion. So considering they were evolved to attract or dissuade males, I say they certainly have a sexual function. In addition to this, breasts play a big part in sexual pleasure for the wearer.

Now consider people pairing up in monogamous couples. The male suspects that other males might be motivated to pursue his mate by the visage of his mates nice boobies. He asks his mate to cover them up so he feels more safe in his position. Now hundreds of years pass, and what do you know, it is in grained in the cultures. It’s not really too bad for the women, so they have lived with it, for the sake of peace. Sometimes it is even convenient to be covered. For example in cold weather. I bet there is a correlation between climate and a cultures willingness to have boobs in the open.

Tribes have not only hidden their populations breasts, they have been known to hide their women all together, so the neighbouring tribes don’t steal them. I feel that this is a bit similar. Infinite growth is inherently incompatible with life. It does not work. The biosphere is under immense pressure already. Humanity extinct 4 species every day and has killed off 90% of wild animals in the last 100 years. Nature is the greatest repository of knowledge that we have. It is invaluable to our science, though we treat it as expendable. It’s like burning all libraries. We are simply using too much land in an effort to support a shitty economical model that is based on population growth, forever. This is the kind of problem that humanity has proven to be ineffectual at solving. Long term and noone will take action unless it blows up in their faces, personally, right now. Let the next generation deal with it. That is what they said in the 50s and that is what they will say in 10 years too. The damage done to the biosphere is practically permanent. Once an animal or plant is extinct, it is gone. Once enough of them is gone, the planet no longer supports complex life.

With no water and electricity for a couple days, that seem like a low number to me.
