This is worse for Boeing than first appears. Should the trade war last, China will likely cannibalize their existing American inventory rather than purchase replacement parts.

That means Boeing is loosing money on aircraft it sold before the tariffs, and that every day this goes on, China will be less and less reliant on the American aircraft industry.

There was a long time when a casual user would have been better off on Windows, but I don’t think that’s true anymore, at least not on every distro.

Just as you can use Windows for years and never need Group Policy or Regedit, you can do Linux just the same without terminal.

This is the area where I feel Linux has come the farthest since I became interested in it.

It seems like if you want a trade war with China, you’d want partners to help you apply pressure and replace Chinese goods you can’t do without. Maybe somewhere like Vietnam for cheap labor; Canada for rare-earth minerals; and the EU to buy expensive American goods and services. Oh no.

Some of the stuff in the freezer section is pretty high quality. I recently got a shrimp entree on sale that could easily pass for restaurant quality.

Also, don’t sleep on frozen vegetables. The quality is second only to fresh and you can also get “restaurant” versions covered in cheese, butter, and even roasted.

Achievements have made games worse.

I discovered this after buying a steam game that I had pirated. All of a sudden I’m doing boring and repetitive stuff that I don’t enjoy, just to unlock some dumb trophy.

Any enjoyment for the players and creativity by developers has been long eclipsed by the lazy paint-by-numbers boring achievements who’s only function is to artificially extend “engagement”.

They should just sell the platinum trophies.
