I agree that it easily could be real! My cat does the same thing with used socks, drinking straws she steals from our drinks, (clean & unused) menstrual pads still in their packaging, those little bra padding inserts that go in camisoles and bathing suits, and, of course, toys. It’s so fucking precious and I love it! I’ve found her secret stashes of them multiple times over the years, haha.

Huawei? $150? I think you’re giving them too much credit, haha. I’d guess it’s likely to be some unknown, no-name garbage, like you’d get from Wish or Ali-Express (or similar) for dirt cheap.
