2·28 days agoFWIW “just displaying html” is one of those can of worms type problems that looks easy enough to start making but actually impossible to do fully correct.
You want something thats doing a WebView, so if not a Firefox then maybe one of the lighter weight ones like Falkon or Gnome Web etc.
6·28 days agoPretty impossible to beat development that prioritized user comfort over market value profits yadayada. I hope to see more of that in my lifetime. Still gives me the warm fuzzies to see a well built public service building.
Imo a culture does exist, but it’s based on the same individualist and consumerist fallacies as the rest of society. What’s missing is community and respect, among other things ofc.
The historic/legacy countries do have some of that as a remnant, but the manufactured countries like USA AU etc are just “let’s make neoliberalism our culture”
