Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Prep Time: 5 m | Cook Time: 10 m | Servings: 8

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 1/8 cup butter, softened 3 tablespoons light mayonnaise 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/8 teaspoon onion powder 1/8 teaspoon celery salt 2 pounds tilapia fillets

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven broiler. Grease broiling pan or line with aluminum foil.

  2. Mix Parmesan cheese, butter, mayonnaise, and lemon juice together in a small bowl. Season with dried basil, pepper, onion powder, and celery salt. Mix well and set aside.

  3. Arrange fillets in a single layer on prepared pan. Broil a few inches from the heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip fillets over and broil for 2 or 3 minutes more.

  4. Remove fillets from oven and cover with Parmesan mixture on top side. Broil until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 2 minutes.

I made a local friend…he’s coming over tonight and will use your recipe but add Puerto Rican flavor to it!

So…i guess I’m cheating cause I’m not gonna actually cook!

Ah well, hope you enjoy it anyway! I’d be interested to learn what your new friend uses to give it ‘Puerto Rican flavor’! Cooking is allllllll about evolution! :D

I bought frozen tilapia at Econo this morning…he’s coming at 3pm (AST)…and it’s not “ah well” more correct: it’s wonderful to share weather it be code or recipes…my friend will probably make some changes, but like good free software people…i will share our adjustments with you.
