With these studies I always wonder if they actually show some sort of natural inclination, or if it only stems from education/socialisation.

It might very well be natural inclination. Humankind had this kind of thing going on for a very long time: Women create offspring, therefor they tend to do things that are less dangerous and more stationary (even in the nomadic context). Men tend to go out and aquire food. Tools are being used for killing prey since a very, very long time.

That’s of course just a thought, and it might not be as pronounced as it shows now, but there’s a good chance that there is a significant natural component there, that can’t be changed quickly, and not even in thousands of years. Evolution isn’t that quick. But that’s no problem. Because having different inclinations is very much okay.

Might be explained by comparing different countries with matriarchal, patriarchal and repressive ideologies.
