On my previous router, I had it all setup so I go into iPhone > Files app > Connect to Server > and I had a 192 type smb address thingie setup so I could view certain Users’ directories (Windows elven11 laptop) and exchange files between the two devices and even make actual changes like deleting shit and creating new folders or renaming or moving stuff around.

SOLVED I figured out the problem and the ipconfig tip was very helpful to getting the actual address (ipv4 address)

    glad you fixed it.

consider setting up a static ip for your computer, on your new router.

that’s to ensure it won’t change and stop working again.

I think now that i know how to do it again if i run into a problem i dont mind keeping fresh about the procedure. Part of the problem is i forget how i previously did something successfully and i get worried about if i have to do it again

So many times I did complex intricate tasks or projects while drinking or fatigued and it never became part of me so i was a sitting duck when it came to redo it or undo it lol
