I think it’s time to try something new with this community rather than just posting articles all the time.

Personally, I’d like to see some improvements to Impress and Draw regarding the Line tool. I’d add the changes myself, but then I’d have to learn C++ and Java.

    I’d like for the shapes in Draw to have more connection points by default. Whether you pull in a rectangle or hexagon or whatever, they all have only 4 connection points, which quickly become too few for any sort of complex diagram. Manually adding more is possible, but tedious and I’ve rarely been annoyed by shapes having too many connection points.

      I’d also like for the default shape theme to be sexier. I doubt the current black-text-on-dark-blue-background-theme even passes accessibility checks.
      Probably neigh impossible to tweak that, though, without an endless discussion starting, since basically everyone has an opinion on that.

        Also, by the way, knowing C++ and/or Java will only get you so far. I mean, I don’t know C++, but I tried tweaking a tiny thing a few months ago and couldn’t even begin to guess in which folder the relevant code might live. Because well, the codebase is massive:

        I also just didn’t know what the relevant component would be called, otherwise I could’ve probably found it via full-text search. I could’ve probably asked around in the community, but I didn’t actually want to invest that much time back then…
