Any study that hasn’t been replicated is worthless. We should really have a “replicated science” community here on Lemmy. That said, this study did account for the quality of the schools and socioeconomic status, which if left unaccounted for could easily produce these results on their own.

Noise pollution is a real thing, I experience it on the daily.

Just one of the reasons electric cars, public transit, and bicycles are great, not just for combating air pollution and global warming.

idk about that

at about 30km/h the noise from car’s tires equals the noise from the engine, and at about 50-60km/h the noise from tires completely overshadows overlaps the noise from the engine, and electric cars tend to be very heavy because of the battery, therefore the upper barrier is lower, meaning still a ton of noise 🤷‍♀️
